I feel like I must do something to help President Trump and through him our country but feel so powerless to make a meaningful difference. I’ve reached out to opposition-minded friends and family but have had only limited success penetrating the insidious web of distortions woven by the media and the likes of Facebook and Google. I’ve written my Republican congressmen on numerous occasions only to receive boilerplate platitudes in response; I fear (but do not know) that they may be either self-serving cowards and/or as corrupt and seditious as most of the Democratic Party. I’ve taken my best stabs at reasoned posts and comments in internet forums, but fear that my posts may be deliberately lost in the noise, and that the forums themselves may have been compromised by concerted censorship and disinformation campaigns where sophisticated operatives make posts designed to divide, demoralize, and/or discredit our side.
So what can little ol’ me do to actually make a difference against such corrupt goliaths? Suggestions? My best idea so far, as trivial as it may sound, is to proudly don my Trump t-shirt and my bright red MAGA sweatband a couple of times a week, go for a run through my community, and amiably smile and wave to my passing neighbors. Then, perhaps a like-minded neighbor, having seen me, might become encouraged to do the same. And on the movement spreads as a very real rebuttal in our physical world to the pervasive propaganda in our virtual world. There are numerous obvious advantages to this strategy, but in particular, this strategy is decentralized (hence hard to disrupt) and genuine (hence easier to trust).
Although overwhelming disinformation hinders my certainty, my instinct tells me that most ordinary Americans support or would support (if we can break the enemy’s spell) President Trump’s common sense agenda. However, most understandably keep their heads down or may not even be aware on account of the enemy’s treacherous tactic of branding dissenters as evil and then viciously ruining their lives. In this context, I can imagine some regular guy or gal, super busy just trying to stay afloat, driving to work one morning, unwittingly swallowing NPR’s deceitful reporting, and then - in stark juxtaposition – they see a familiar smiling face, jogging down the road, proudly supporting (in a non-pushy way) our President Trump, a hero and a patriot. Do you think it might work? Be worth a shot? Joggers for Trump? If so, tell your friends. Maybe it will catch on. In the meantime, I’ll keep jogging.

Close! I had a co-worker refer to Mr. Trump as a clown. Big mistake on his part. I challenged him on the results that this administration is bringing.
I reminded him of the favor of God Almighty that is upon our President. I reminded him of the absolute failure of the prior 8 years.
Did I forget to mention this guy has a life-long pre-existing medical condition from birth.
My point, defame the president to my face at your own peril.
We pray for him daily, for his family, for the WH staff, for his cabinet and advisors - for physical, emotional, and spiritual protection, and for guidance.
McMaster is bad - I was convinced again today when he slammed Israel for being an occupying force or some leftie something.

I agree with this, and a few others have mentioned it as well. Never underestimate the power of prayer! Let us pray for President Trump, his family, his staff, cabinet, and advisors!

Sadly, you are so right, so I completely understand why someone would refrain from such activity in California. My environment is not quite so dangerous so I’m willing to take the risk. I do get some nasty looks, though.

Thank you for this very informative link. Google does not make it easy to find unapproved viewpoints. I confess that I am perhaps overly cautious these days to take anything at face value, especially when I lack any personal expertise about the subject matter. That said, if what this article says is true, that is extremely disturbing. I’ll see what corroborating info I can independently dig up. Thanks again.

This is what so frustrates me about President Trump. It is largely beyond dispute that McMaster is an anti-Trump, anti-American Muslim mole who should never have been brought on board and should have been fired months ago. Yet our President appears to be powerless to get rid of the jerk. Why is that?
Thanks for telling me about this prayer group. I confess that I don’t pray very much, but do find myself praying more as I grow older. I do believe there’s something divine over this grand mystery of existence. When I was young, I haughtily thought that all-knowing science had dispensed of God as a fairy tale without evidence. As I grow older, I am understanding more and more just how foolish that position is. Not only is science (good for what it is) just a progression of theories, continually proving the old ones wrong, but there is clearly so much that science doesn’t understand yet, will likely never understand, and then there are things that science doesn’t even know it doesn’t know. But I digress. Thanks again for your advice.

I’ve had similar thoughts. Today, I decided on a month-long Amazon fast.
We’re rural and Prime members, as well as Kindle Unlimited...we use Amazon a lot. I cannot totally give it up because we save so much, have so many perks and where we live, can’t always get what we might need, especially within two days. So, I choose to spend August buying nothing at all from Amazon. Includes not watching Amazon Video.
Who knows? We may find we get along without it, in which case, I’ll cancel.
We also pray and we support POTUS in conversation with the ubiquitous haters from both so-called parties.
