Breaking now.
Glen Campbell’s catalog of music is unbelievable, in that, the man could sing anything. And he was an incredible musician as well.
He had many hit records, of course, but even many of those songs that were not considered “hits,” were great songs.
He was a phenomenal talent.
I loved his music, I loved his voice, and I’m very grateful to know that he was a saved man and knew Christ as his Savior.
RIP Glen.
For many men a slow death starts when they marry. Just saying. PS: my wife doesn’t creep. As if I needed to say that.
Glenn, made, Jimmy Webb some money I’ll bet.
He was the first on-stage replacement for Brian Wilson, and played guitar on Pet Sounds.
He also was lead vocalist on the Baroque Pop gem, My World Fell Down, by Sagittarius, which included Bruce Johnston and Curt Boettcher.
He was equally adept with pop and country: a great musician.
I love KC; great drummer too.
Critics do not properly credit her mellifluous voice.
Just yesterday, I remarked to my husband that Glen Campbell’s mind is disintegrating because he has Alzheimers. He hasn’t performed in years.
I’m not a country fan, but I do love Glen Campbell’s work.
Beach Boys fanatic, and Glen Campbell fan, so I have known this for 20+ years.
She draws him like a gun!
He was married several times. Which wife did it?
Damned Texican, saved me twice, once when he was dead.
My Daddy took my sister and I to see this movie at the drive-in when we were just kids.
Special times.
He sure was. I remember reading that one time he was traveling in a car with his son and they were listening to an Oldies radio station playing 1960s hits. Song after song came over the speaker as his son asked him if he had played on this or that song. Glen's answer to almost everyone was "Yes."
No it sounds like a living nightmare and I am sorry.
He’s still on the line ... somewhere near Wichita.
Glad your mom is well. She sounds like a tough lady! Hope y’all are well!
My fave song of his.
My mom is almost 95 and still living in her house across the street and driving her car.
Hate to see Glen Campbell go. Always loved his music.
We refer to that as overdosing. Anything more than 1 wife.
I believe that he started as a studio musician:
a musician’s musician.
The best.
He is with God now.
One of the world's finest guitar players.
I know there are so many great renditions of this great song, but this happens to be my all time fave....Glen Campbell's Wichita Lineman.....
What a blessing. I know you know, but...you are truly blessed to have your mom, at that age, living across the street and able to drive, visit, laugh, etc.
