This proves McConnell has been in government for far too long.

In the Private sector (i.e. President Trump's realm)

Timely, efficient and effective results are expected, in Government it is a miracle if something happens at all.

“Hey...folks in Alabama, vote for only Republican, Conservative, Congressman, Mo Brooks, come next Tuesday, August 15th in the Alabama Senate primary. Do it!!!”

So just how is Brooks going to beat Roy Moore? Moore is polling at least ten points higher than Brooks and the GOPE a$$hole is so far down he’d need a ladder to get to second place today.

Mitch would be much happier being the Minority Leader, because all he has to do is complain without having any of the responsibility or accountability, but still get all the perks of being in DC.

I think that the President expected McConnell to be able to control the Senators in his party. If that’s “excessive expectations” then maybe Mitch is the wrong guy for the job?

It doesn’t want to mess up its comfy retirements.

Well I hope there is soon some fear of God felt by these folks. It’s no good to retire cushily on earth but then retire from there to hell. And especially when God would personally help those who want another fate bring it to pass! He’s not the one dancing with joy in the heavenly places when we step on our own je ne sais quoi in godless sin.

I don’t particularly care about the pasts of the actors in such a scenario, either. God hardly seemed to care about that in the bible. His message was always, get right with Me and let it start NOW. I’ll forgive all your sins. But you have to start hating them.

Mitch McConnell is now blasting Trump for having “excessive expectations” and “artificial deadlines” for getting anything done.

This is a set up. Instead of doing there job the GOPe is carefully plotting to seize the beltway agenda from Trump. They are chipping away now so later they can collude with Democrats on big ticket items like health care and the budget.

Not being from DC, Trump doesn’t understand how HARD it is to be a senator.

It takes a lot of time to pile up donations for the next election. They’re forced to be on the golf course, or dinner with lobbyists, or fundraising events hob-nobbing with the elite when they’d rather be in the office getting legislation passed.

And then, when they have time for legislation, they can’t do what they want. They need to make sure the lobbyists and donors are ok with it. And then they have those inconvenient constituents who they don’t want to upset too much. Voting for ANYTHING may upset some constituents so best to put effort into making sure votes don’t happen than even trying to pass something.

Then there’s the problem of living on a senator’s salary. For example, Flake was forced to write a book and go on a publicity tour for it to put food on his family’s table when he’d rather be doing the job he was elected for.

Trump just doesn’t realize or appreciate what these poor people go through every day to do the work of the people. /sarc

Six months gone. They should have been able to do something! They have been crowing about this stuff for the past 7 years, and then they get there and have nothing ready. Shameful. Primary the RINOs.

Time to investigate his sorry behind too!

I have been thinking it would be great to see transcripts of every lobbyist call to Congressional offices.

Trump wanted tax reform done, this POS said well, probably not this year. The beat goes on. They are all in wait and see whom the next president is now, the dems hoping it is one of theirs, the GOP hoping it is one of the sleaze ball Rinos and public watching with their hands in the air.

Exactly. Which is exactly why POTUS needs to start the framework of a 3rd party now. The beltway thinks they can just wait out Trump. Not going to happen.

I like Roy Moore but, I think that he brings unnecessary political baggage with him. The Democrats and their “traitor” media will never let up on him, no matter how correct and legal he was in his judicial actions. In addition, Mo Brooks is a strong Trump backer, a staunch conservative and, is well respected across the board.

Remember, if no candidate in the Alabama primary receives more the 50% of the votes cast next week, the primary election goes to a runoff!!!

If the majority leader used his leaverage he could get the 50 votes. What happens to Senators when they vote down republican bills? Answer: not a damn thing! In fact they are playing their part in the kabuki that McConnell dances so well. If McConnell could get 50 votes then he would require 60.

Mitch, Ryan, most of the pubbie party are so askewed, they have plaques on their walls which claim “I WORK FOR NOTHING” and they damn well aren’t about to work up a sweat proving that wrong. Working for nothing has paid very well over the years.

Ditch is guilty of perpetuating RINO stereotypes.

He needs to be fired.

That sure had been business as usual.

They may or may not lapse into that again, but if they do, Donald Trump is going to be more than sure that it gets featured on neon signs.

I don’t Donald will be any easier on Democrats than on Republicans. Donald has indeed challenged Democrats to come up with something better than Obamacare. But I don’t think Donald will put up with bullshit from them any more than he will put up with it from the GOP. Donald was never minded to pit party against party as much as to pit truth against lies.

Murkowski should never be a committee chair after running 3rd party sore loser against a GOP candidate.
