Cops have destroyed NYC businesses when they feel oppressed. I’ll never forget how they put out of business a small diner on 3rd Avenue (near their academy) when the owner complained about all their illegal parking. Within months, the business was shuttered.
Non sequitur
Not a non sequitur, IMO. It shows the power that cops have.
Sometimes the cops are justified, other times not so much. In this case, DD is wrong, but perhaps there is a better lesson to teach them instead of putting them out of business. In the case of the diner, it sounds like the cops were wrong (We are above the law and if you complain there will be hell to pay.)
Just my $0.02.
Really? Businesses plural?
Apart from the example you gave (despite knowing most small businesses fail due to poor management), please list a few more for us.
