Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., thinks a new bill implementing a merit-based point system for foreigners seeking legal permanent status will never pass the Senate, even though it has President Trump's backing. "That bill's not going to pass," told CBS 4 in an interview Sunday. "I think the White House knows that you don't have 60 votes for that in the Senate."

"I don't want to limit legal immigration. I certainly want to change the way we conduct it," Rubio said. "...Where I probably have a big difference of opinion with this bill is that it sets an arbitrary cap on the number of people that are able to come through with a green card. I don't think that should be an arbitrary cap. That number should be driven by demand."
Marco Bot spewing vomit from his mouth again. What a POS. I assume "demand" refers to employers wanting cheap labor. I guess in Marco's perverted mind demand means wages are driven down to $2 a day; the UN definition of absolute poverty.
Little Marco has spoken! F*ckin’ fraud!
More and more it’s obvious that President Trump is the only elected official in DC who gives a damn about this country. Marco The Rube can go pound sand.
Only need 51 votes in senate, Mario.
Dumb question: why would it take 60 votes?
Polls show overwhelming support for Trumps plan.
Just goes to show how out of touch Little Marco is.
As well as most of the GOP.
actually 50 and the Pence tie-breaker
Rubio is either not very bright or not honest. Of course Trump knows there are not 60 votes for this. That’s why Trump is needling McConnell to go to a 51 vote system. The Democrats, in his place, would have done it instantly.
McConnell won’t, though. He loves thwarting Trump and then snarking about how hard it is to MAGA. The Trump voter army will have to handle this. McConnell is safe for now, but a number of others aren’t.
Marco Boobio. Surely FL can do better than this.
Watch the Presidents agenda start flying thru congress when the midterm campaigning starts.
I’ll settle for that. But we need to replace a few of the worst RINOs leftist senators. Asap.
As they come up, these swamp senators need to be politically butchered for what they are doing now.
Do.
Nothing.
Congress.
They sure get paid a lot to do it.
watch Maine give king the boot nov 2018 and collins, if she lives that long, in nov of 2022
Immigration policy should serve the interests of citizens first, foremost, always. Fat chance, though, finding anyone in Washington DC that believes that and is willing to govern on that very simple principle.
I want to like Rubio. But he keeps putting his foot in it. The number of green cards should be driven by demand? So, in other words, wall or no wall, he still wants an open border?
He still wants an open border.
Uniparty Solution: More unskilled immigration!!!
Muck Farco. He’s willing to condemn my grandkids to TB, etc...
I’ve become convinced these f***ing repugs long for the days of being in the minority, when their sole reason for existence was whining about being in the minority.
The Tea Party and Other Conservatives in FL were so good to Rubio, in terms of campaigning, financial support, advertising, and other promotional activities. He seemed to echo our policies and was full of promise.
Then when he was elected, he almost immediately betrayed us with his “Gang of Eight” and immigration votes.
I’m not in FL anymore, but I NEVER voted for him again after that.
