American Airlines is disputing Lena Dunham’s claims that she overheard two female airline employees having a “transphobic talk” at the airport on Wednesday, saying the time stamps of her claims don’t add up.
A spokesperson for the airline told TheWrap that they are unable to substantiate the allegations made by the creator and star of HBO’s “Girls.” Dunham tweeted around 3 a.m. ET, said the airline spokesperson, when American’s last departure/arrival at JFK was around 1:45 a.m. ET.
Additionally, a video that Dunham posted around the same time showed that the actress was flying on Delta Air Lines, which according to the spokesperson, doesn’t operate out of Terminal 8, whereas American Airlines does. The two are not connected, argued the spokesperson. You can see a map of the terminals here.

It's also worth noting that safety in numbers is also at play. Moldylocks wrote of fear before heading out to Berkeley (where she got clocked) but she was comforted by the (alleged) large numbers of equally-deranged secularists (who were outnumbered and who also got clocked). Similarly, CNN's chilling attack on the meme poster from 4chan was countered with the publication of senior CNN personnels' SS#s and phone numbers etc. BAM!
Back in the day, some Hollywood type would pull a stunt like this and conservatives would respond with a debate on Firing Line. Not anymore. I believe, in part, this is why Trump and his retinue conduct rallies to remind we Deplorables that, indeed, there's more of us than them, and to not despair. Maybe AA looked at the 4chan response and thought, "maybe we don't need to respond with an apology a new HR program."
Our steadfast and visible defense of all that is good and right is a partial antidote to this social virus. Everyone wants to win, and one can only hope that further winning will help turn misguided souls who follow Hollywood stars' lead, to our side.
