Senate blocks Trump from making recess appointments
Axios ^ | August 3, 2017 | Susan Walsh

Posted on 08/03/2017 6:32:33 PM PDT by Pinkbell

The Senate moved unanimously to block President Trump from making appointments during the August break this evening. Democrats had said they'd make such a move after reports emerged that Trump was considering replacing Attorney General Jeff Sessions during the recess.

The Senate agreed to hold pro forma sessions throughout the recess. This procedure was also used to block appointments during the Obama administration.

Worth noting: the announcement was made by moderate Republican Lisa Murkowski, who split from Trump over health care. The Senate also made a slew of confirmations and passed several measures before shutting down for the summer.

Another update: The Senate will not hold any legislative sessions until September. Mitch McConnell had previously intended to delay the break until August 11 to allow the now-stalled health care plan to move forward.

Doesn’t matter. Trump now has an FBI director. That appointment makes him truly dangerous.

His assault team is complete.

If you are in the Senate now you need to be replaced.

Repeal and Replace RINOs its r^3 (arrr cubed in pirate math)

At this point does anyone disagree with my theory that all senators are d-bags - almost worse the meth heads.

yeah this has to become a thing like the meme. Such that Senators become aware that way before the elect vast numbers of people have their number. I'm thinking that when people say 2018 others think- yeah this is the year Senator putznugget gets theirs - maybe a limerick.

Senator Putznugget has got to go - all of them lets get this six year cycle of flushing started.

It looks like Trump, Many republican voters, Tea Party on one side and the uniparty(Republican, Democrats, progressives, media, academia).

Americans versus the world of leftists!

“Seriously, Donald Trump should just form his own party. He’s the only person in America with the clout and support to do that and make it viable. It will instantaneously become a major party. If we get 70% of the Republicans and 20% of the Democrats to join it, as well as a good share of the Independents, it could become the dominant party literally overnight.

He/we have the name of the new party: MAGA/Make America Great Again!

If a politician is not willing to sign an oath, that he/she/it will MAGA, they become trash on the side of the road.

I have heard that also.

The US military is a political organization. To advance, you have to play the game.

It means they expect articles of impeachment.

Or some sort of scandal that will take down Trump. Trying to limit the damage once he falls.

Anyone that is still a demturd or republican is stupid. It is time for the American working class citizens to vote the existing political parties and their scumbag lying professional politicians out of existence. The scumbag professional politicians in both parties are doing everything possible to prevent Trump from implementing the agenda he was elected upon.

Thanks for correcting my post, actually for completing it. In my disgust with Congressional GOP, I had not intended to leave out the Dems. You nailed it.

>>I’m beginning to think that Trump’s only option is to form his own political party now and invite any loyal Republicans who wish to join him.

I think he could destroy both the Republican and Democrat parties with some careful strategizing and a few good rallies. This business of pretending that the Democrats and Republicans are two opposing political parties is getting tiresome. There are the Globalists and the Nationalists, that’s all there is to it.
********************************************************
Globals = 100% Traitors to the Republic and to our Liberty.

Even if he did as you describe (and I hope he does), and we were to win, what is the next drastic step the Globals would take?

The Globals will nuke the earth rather than let the detestable Great Unwashed take their power away.

And the Nationalists echo Patrick Henry’s words:

“Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death.”

That is where we are at.

Just another reason I am no longer a republican. I have been for several years now one of those so called Independent voters. If I do not like the slug that the RINOs are running, I skip over him or her and move on down my ballot. I do not vote straight republican. I skip many of them. I did when Romney ran for prez. I almost did it when GWB ran the second time. I just skip them. Don’t care if people say that is allowing the dim to win. I am no longer holding my nose and voting for these slugs. That is what they know we are going to do. No more. Not me. I have a conscience and it says no to some of these A-holes. If it says no, then it is no. This kind of crap is one of the reasons I have said enough is enough. I skipped my long time republican congress critter the past three elections also. Enough is enough.

We have to start removing the weasels with the Amnesty Senators Corker, Hatch, Heller and Flake in 2018 Graham and Alexander in 2020 Murkowsky, Hoeven and Rubio in 2022

McConnell is useless as majority leader and he really needs to be voted out as a senator!

The list above are all Rinos as is McConnell!

What a bunch of traitors. They would never do this to Obama, but they do it to someone of their own party, supposedly.

Let's face it; it's Trump against the GOP and the Rats. That's the only way to look at it. Every single person of the GOP party in the Senate who voted for this ought to arrested for treason at this very hour and replaced by the legislature of the state they came from, EVERY ONE.

I hope you’re right. I don’t trust anybody any more. Are Oathkeepers still around? If so, whose side would they be on?

OK, Friend, feel free to figure out how to raise funds and end FReepathons in a timely manner.

I’m getting tired of begging.

I am sorry for not making my message clear --- It has everything to do with our body-politic at large, and ***nothing*** to do with FR's FReepathon's.

Please accept my apologies...

History teaches only a DICTATORSHIP can save the nation.

I said all along that Trump would have to use all the same powers Obama did but it looks like that won't even come close to being enough.

I said too that if Obama to elected he would have no intention of leaving office, that was not quite what happened but he has certainly set up a shadow government that is overpowering the elected government.

I hoped we could defy history but what I have seen happen in just the last decade tells me we have lost the republic and ballots will not restore it.
