Firing the Mooch. BIG MISTAKE. I do not care what anyone says. He was brilliant at the press conferences. And as Diamond and Silk pointed out, for the 10-11 days he was on, Russia was not the narrative and the swamp was only starting to get drained. The moment he was fired and General Kelly came on board: more leaks than with Priebus in charge!!! And swamp creatures getting a free pass galore.
The next few weeks is going to be a dark period for the White House until President Trump gets his bearings and trusts his instincts again rather than listen to the "wisdom" of even well meaning people like Pence who likely cannot handle the fake media flack and think appeasement is the answer.
Annoyed.
Well by that logic, even Trump should be gone with all his so called gaffes. Scaramucci would have recovered and come out stronger.
He was naïve to believe the reporter would keep his promise of “off the record.”
Thank you for not saying your latter comment in a rude or insulting way. I put it under news because of the “my opinion” option.
All I know is that I couldn't foresee him staying around in any high-profile capacity once the details of that phone conversation with the reporter hit the news.
Mooch is not Trump.
I don’t see how he could overcome the mockery of the jackal press and internal administration division his gaffe surely would have precipitated and perform his job effectively.
You shouldn’t be the Director if you need “help.”
That’s my take. It’s why I frequent liberal sites. It is important to verbally fight respectfully, with dignity, and never, EVER get mad.
I just keep calling them out on their use of these four weapons:
1. Deflection - they can’t respond so they change the subject. Some are experts at this. The goal is to get you to go off topic and basically “hijack” a thread.
2. Ad-hominem - they either call you names or point out that your sources are partisan, biased or just stupid.
3. Projection - this one is my favorite. They literally accuse you of doing what they are actually doing. It’s really fun to call them out on this, especially when it is actually exposing their thought process in a very unflattering way.
4. Straw-man - rewording your response to mean something you didn’t mean (or only a subset of what you meant), and then attacking that. My typical response is to bring it back by simply saying stuff like, “That is not what I said. What I said is [cut and paste here]. You are using a straw man.
5. Red herring - They bring up something minor or irrelevant to prove you are wrong. It happened to me here today. I posted a comical video that, at one point, said nobody has ever died of a marijuana overdose. He said that is not true. Truth is, there may be two cases in recorded history where someone DID die simply by using marijuana, but two cases in modern history is statistically zero. It is a red herring.
When one realizes this is pretty much the only weapons the left has, it is easy to defend against them. But still, it is offense that changes minds. Defense merely prevents the other side from diminishing the truths stated in the offense.
It is not the end of Trump, but a period where it seems as though he is relinquishing a little bit of his instincts in order to let the experience of the more “seasoned” carry the day. Perfectly fine sometimes, but not with regard to media handling.
Also i think the Russia sanctions are a good thing even though the media will frame it as a defeat for Trump.
I wouldn't find that hard to believe. In fact, as I read the transcript of the conversation my first impression was that Scaramucci was intoxicated.
Gen Kelly isnt helping that.
You are saying liberals are classier than some freepers here? Not sure if i agree, but I have experienced the comments of a lot of catty men on this board. Very unbecoming.
I hear your frustration. Remember that winning the election was only the beginning.
Trump is not a professional politician and he is taking more political fire than anyone I can recall in my lifetime and still has much of the country behind him.
The tide needs to turn soon though. I feel like another 3 months of this and things will really fall apart for us.
I said within the first week of his presidency that he should name a group of US Military lawyers to a special commission. Said commission would investigate the FBI / CIA / NSA for unmasking of US citizens, mishandling of classified data, obstruction of justice on politicized cases with the goal of prosecution and recommendations for the heightening of ethics within the IC. I feel like this is the only way to get a handle on what’s going on within the FBI.
We are seeing an essentially incorruptible billionaire with conservative instincts making only marginal headway against the entrenched interests. His election has made it 100% clear that the only path to restoration is outside of national politics. We should be spending our money and effort teaching the young to despise collectivism. Maybe they will have a chance to save themselves.
Frankly, there is no effective “We” to do any teaching, being oversaturated by enemedia Victimology and Givemedat Lessons. There is a tiny chance President Trump can still have an effect. He should speak directly to us in longer bursts than tweets allow, on tv. Otherwise we would need a real revolution to free ourselves from this oligarchy.
That’s a great photo. It does help give me some hope.
No. He was a total loose cannon, brought in to out Reince. That’s it. There was never any intention of him holding the job. He’s personally toxic with his divorce and other issues, not to mention his personality.
Now, I like his brashness, but if you contrast him with Stephen Miller, it’s no question.
Next time vote for Hillary or some leftist. You’ll be much happier.
He went on a rant to a reporter for the New Yorker, unforgivable.
I went into a company changing hands and was seen as an outsider....the employees were enraged and angry over who bought them out...as well as the management....they had falsely assumed the “other” would win out in the buyout....it didn't....
They had super egos who thought their business was going to go down the drain if things were not kept as the standards they were accustomed to. Everything I see happening in Washington now happened in that business.....it was a cluster of egos, bad feelings, sabotaging changes, and strong resistance and opposition at every turn. Terrible to live through I have to say.....and customers were surely affected by the chaos created primarily from the “old crew”...
Needless to say it took well over a year to clear out the old crew.....either they left when they realized things were going to go the way as planned....or they were let go.
Now Washington has thousands of debts and leaders.....of the Hillary/Obama leftovers.....I suspect it will take over a year to throw out the trash that has accumulated. Not to mention exposing those hiding behind the asks they wear.
According the DNC Media, President Trump’s second biggest mistake was being Elected President, right behind being Born.
