Not able to copy.
I lived in Madison for 20 years and the number of homicides was something you could count on your hands over that span. There is a hyper violent urban minority problem there, one that didn't exist in significant numbers in my day. The liberal mindset of Madison will not be able to countenance the real problem, so it will grow considerably before it improves, if ever.
One man was killed and another seriously injured in a convenience store parking lot on the city’s South Side early Wednesday in what police are calling a “cold, brutal assassination.”
The killing marks the city’s third homicide in just over a week and ties the record for the most homicides in a year, at 10.
“This is a dire day, one I hoped I would never see,” Police Chief Mike Koval said. “We have double-digit homicides with a lot of the year ahead of us.”
The shooting was reported at 12:16 a.m. in the parking lot a 7-Eleven store at 2703 W. Beltline, Madison police said.
A 33-year-old man was killed, while a 29-year-old man was shot several times but was expected to survive, Koval said. The killing ties the record of most homicides in the city set in 2008.
Frankly, IMO, the police departments are overwhelmed. They're not Andy and Barney, but they're not designed for handling large quantities of heavily-armed, drug-dealing gangs, either.
The people of Madison brought this on themselves when they elected leftist vermin as city officials.
Now they can look forward to the reward for their actions.
Who knew?
A People’s Republic is a killing field.
Must be getting an influx of “cultural enrichments” from Milwaukee and Chicago.
The operative question is: were any innocent, law abiding citizens assassinated?
These are targeted events and people have to realize that you can have open carry, CCW, nationwide reciprocity and this will still go on, day in, day out.
It is a form of tribal warfare over the proceeds of the drug war and petty feuds. It is being carried out by the easily agitated and as long as you stay out of their circles, you are going to be very safe.
However, they will venture out of those circles for robberies to further their ambitions. With the advent of basically “theft-proof” cars, carjackings are on a precipitous rise, thus necessitating that those safety conscious law abiding citizens stay armed and aware.
Good thing the murders weren’t done in hate.
And I notice that the left went bonkers when Trump called out MS13 recently. Heck, even Mexico and some Central American countries are asking for US help in dealing with these gangs - and the Dems are defending them?
Incidentally, all these gangs work together - MS13 (Latin American), a large variety of black gangs, and white gangs in the Northwest and even, yes, the Mafia. It’s a whole violent underground economy and the Dems should be ashamed of themselves for defending it.
Thought this might have been about Seth Rich....
Madison is a bidet.
Electing leftist politicians means they will appoint leftist judges who will give criminals a slap on the wrist by pleading down their criminal charges. Brain dead Democrats have to understand that there is a whole bunch of unintended consequences for voting for a party that has been gobbled up by the far left FORTY YEARS AGO! Wake up Democrat voters!
94.03 mi² surrounded by reality.
I imagine that the cops will get zero information from the survivor..
Not necessarily cultural influx. Could be Black Lives Matter in Madison too, homegrown
Think of it as evolution in action.
In the urban underclass, who is going to have the most cash to show a girl a “good time”? Drug dealers. They will wind up fathering most of the next generation. And how do you get to be a successful dealer? By being the most violent and ruthless killer around.
This has been going on for several generations in the ghetto. We are seeing the results of this breeding experiment.
“assassination”
Lincoln was assassinated.
JFK was assassinated.
RFK was assassinated.
A guy working at a 711 was murdered. Hyperbole serves no one.
The deadly violence in Chicago is quickly spreading beyond the “hoods” and out into the surrounding suburbs.
So, current events and recent history clearly demonstrate that your assumption is not at all true.
Guns in the hands of properly trained good guys will absolutely help stop violent bad guys with guns. (This fact is clearly supported with 22 years of accumulated data in the easily accessed FBI data banks).
Or you can make the choice to volunteer yourself and your family to be the helpless victims if the bad guys decide to choose you. Lets get this straight, if this is your choice you are letting the bad guys make each and every decision about your, and your families, security and safety.
That is always your choice to make.
No one is forced to own a firearm in our nation. No one is forced to learn how and when to use that firearm in the protection of themselves and their families. No one is forced to be responsible for the security of themselves or their families.
Some think this is not necessary because of the ability of law enforcement to prevent crimes and stop violent attacks and homicides.
Again, this is totally not true.
SCOTUS has twice ruled that Law Enforcement only has the legal responsibility to respond to calls that a crime is in progress or has happened, and have zero responsibility to prevent any crime from happening that they do not witness with their own eyes.
Before you make the decision to depend on Law Enforcement for your protection you really need to factor in they have Zero legal responsibility to protect you. Being protected by law enforcement is a fantasy, not a reality.
Make your own decisions but please know the real and true facts of what you are deciding.
Good point, I hadn't thought much about this due to the fact that I'm still using a '98 LeSabre as my daily driver. I have decided my goal in life is to never update to a 21st century vehicle.
the Dems should be ashamed of themselves for defending it.

If they had the ability to feel shame, they wouldn’t be RATS to begin with.
