Remember two and a half years ago when students at a small Pennsylvania college demanded the name “Lynch” be removed from a campus building … because of its racial connotations?
An Oregon school district is following their example.
The Centennial School District in southeast Portland will be excising “Lynch” from three schools before the beginning of this school year: Lynch Meadows, Lynch Wood, and Lynch View elementary schools.
The schools were named for the family which originally had donated land for the schools over a century ago, but Superintendent Paul Coakley says “many newer families coming into the district associate the name with America’s violent racial history.”
“There were an increasing amount of questions and some complaints from families of color around the name,” Coakley said. Although “there is no connection between the Lynch family and the practice associated with the term,” he said the name has still “been a disruption for some students.”

Also remove all known associates of the former Attorney General from government!

In western Maryland, there is a mountain named Negro Mountain. There is also a Polish Mountain there, but don’t think the latter would be as controversial as the former.

Heck to talk of Drag Races, use of the word “drag” could be offensive to the homosexual/cross dresser/LGBT community. So drag race has to go.
Heck, there’s a TV reality show called “Rue Paul’s Drag Race” which is about these “drag queen” men playing dress up. So probably the drag race name has to be deleted from anything to do with cars, because the homosexual/cross dresser types have priority????

Just heard that in Des Moines, Iowa there is some kind of fuss going on about some upscale restaurants instituting a dress code that says NO to t-shirts. This is alleged racist because minorities like t-shirts. These people should be sent to psychiatrists.
They’re dropping the name due to ignorance and a failure to educate.
