A gunman has been shot dead by German police after opening fire at a nightclub in the city of Konstanz.
One person was killed and three seriously injured in the attack at about 04:30 (02:30 GMT) on Sunday.
The shooter targeted the Grey club in an industrial part of the city, on Max-Stromeyer-Strasse.
Police have ruled out a terrorist motive. A spokesperson told N-TV that the gunman was a 34-year-old Iraqi citizen, but not an asylum seeker.
He is believed to have lived in Germany for a long time.

Interesting how fast they rule out a terrorist motive.
Kurds, I believe, are Christian.
And, if he was married to the owner's daughter, that means domestic or financial issues were possibly the motive.
More importantly we must fight against backlash.
You might be right that it is a family issue, but the majority of Kurds are Muslims ... Sunni Muslims ... the same sect as ISIS and AQ.
So he’s a Muslim from Iraq but pay no attention Muslim faith had nothing to do with it because he has lived here a long time...right........

My wife and I spend three great years in Germany, 88-91. There was virtually no violent crime that we ever heard of. How they can continue to pretend there is not a massive problem now and work to hide it at every turn is unbelievable to me. What are they thinking? The Germany we knew and were very fond of is gone.
You guys remember the old days when the Europeans would look down their noses at Americans and say, “ Oh, those silly Americans and their gun culture! Why can’t they be civilized like us?” every time we had some highly publicized shooting somewhere? Seems like a long time ago, eh?
