The BBC says the shooter was an Iraqi Kurd and was the son-in-law of the club owner.

Kurds, I believe, are Christian.

And, if he was married to the owner's daughter, that means domestic or financial issues were possibly the motive.

You might be right that it is a family issue, but the majority of Kurds are Muslims ... Sunni Muslims ... the same sect as ISIS and AQ.
