U.S. Senator John McCain (R-AZ) released the following statement today on voting no on the so-called skinny repeal of Obamacare:
From the beginning, I have believed that Obamacare should be repealed and replaced with a solution that increases competition, lowers costs, and improves care for the American people. The so-called skinny repeal amendment the Senate voted on today would not accomplish those goals. While the amendment would have repealed some of Obamacares most burdensome regulations, it offered no replacement to actually reform our health care system and deliver affordable, quality health care to our citizens. The Speaker's statement that the House would be willing to go to conference does not ease my concern that this shell of a bill could be taken up and passed at any time.
Ive stated time and time again that one of the major failures of Obamacare was that it was rammed through Congress by Democrats on a strict-party line basis without a single Republican vote. We should not make the mistakes of the past that has led to Obamacares collapse, including in my home state of Arizona where premiums are skyrocketing and health care providers are fleeing the marketplace. We must now return to the correct way of legislating and send the bill back to committee, hold hearings, receive input from both sides of aisle, heed the recommendations of nations governors, and produce a bill that finally delivers affordable health care for the American people. We must do the hard work our citizens expect of us and deserve.
“Hell be gone in the box soon enough”
Not soon enough for me.

John McCain is the crab in the bucket that will be dead before the others are thrown into the boiling water but whist still gasping he’s pulling the others back into the bucket to their doom.
I notice he didn’t go to the VA hospital for his treatment.
Too many idiots going along to get along in the GOP.
The Democrats in both parties run the Congress.
Agree. The Dems worked their Kabuki theater aided by Johnny “ the mad hatter” to create the illusion that they are the saviors to all of this, when in fact they created Frankenstein and unleashed him on the villagers.......
A justification on his part. intentional kill job, IMO.
So Mr.Mccain you are full of crap,Obamacare should be repealed, phase it out over 2 years while health insurance is put back in the private sector where it belongs
Well stated , but too simple for the “ grease my pocket” crowd..... as they are only interested in what benefits them.
I think The Donald should executive order all of congress onto O Care right now.
They can then spend their own money on buying a concierge Doc to care for their ills.
I'm not a huge McCain fan but when it came to the bill where was he lying?
I have my health care and its paid for by you suckers. The hell with you little people.
Arizona, why do you keep inflicting this pain on the rest of the country?
SENATOR JOHN McCAIN FILES AMENDMENTS TO HEALTH CARE LEGISLATION
Exemption for Congress won’t work, because Rino won’t put it out for a vote.
Skinny repeal would have been disastrous and would shift the blame from rats to pubies. I agree with McShame here - total repeal or nothing. Get the hell out of people’s lives. Instead make laws that help the average citizen. This bs about uncovered people - that is what Medicaid was set up for and as far as I know no emergency room can refuse treatment. Just leave it at that except maybe exclude illegals. Turn this whole thing over to the states. Damn, was that so hard?
Is your Linda reference, to Madam Senator Graham?
Yes. She joined the armed forces too early for sex reassignment surgery. It’s made her bitter.
Well, his reason actually sounds good. Have the other two “no” votes given a reason yet?
Well Juan, you voted with the 48 Dems like always.
The only thing left is single payer and death panels.
Both sides of the aisle?! What a pompous idiot.....
The statement read better in the original Vietnamese.
I bet Trump wishes he supported the woman running against McCain instead of endorsing him. Cant play nice with RINOs. You gotta get rid of them.
Yup. He was nice to Ryan, too. Ugly people, those Rinos. At least Dems all hang together.
