WASHINGTONPresident Donald Trumps newly appointed communications director publicly acknowledged his power struggle with the White House chief of staff and said their differences may be too wide to bridge.
Anthony Scaramucci, who joined the White House last week and reports directly to the president rather than to the chief of staff, as is customary, said in a CNN interview that he and Chief of Staff Reince Priebus have been at odds
We have had differences. When I said we were brothers from the podium, thats because were rough on each other, he said, referring to a comment he made last week. Some brothers are like Cain and Abel. Other brothers can fight with each other and get along. He continued: I dont know if this is reparable or not, that will be up to the president.

If Priebus is a double agent for the GOPe it could benefit the good guys a lot.
Priebus was the RNC chairman and general council. I never understood why he was hired by Trump - his loyalty was always going to be to the party.

He has certainly failed at helping to pass legislation. That is his job as well as making sure the White House runs smoothly.......I’ll let you decide on that one. He is not strong enough to be Chief of Staff.
Anthony, please slow down a bit and get the lay of the land FIRST. I really want you to be a success

Lifelong Dems are street fighters, I guess.
I can’t believe how quickly a pro-abortion, pro-gun control, open borders Long Island billionaire became a folk hero.

Well Trump says he likes competition. Might as well grab the popcorn. It’s gonna be what it’s gonna be.

Was Trump savvy enough in January to hire preibus on so he could foil his disloyalty and publicly discredit the rino in Chief? Kill the rino network to maga? Who’s next?
Go Trump!

This constant turmoil is hurting the President’s program beyond belief. Turmoil without, turmoil within. It’s now out of the President’s hands - I think!

I dont know either, but I would like to see far less of it, at least being done in public. There are numerous Cabinet positions yet to be filled, but who would want to work in such a hostile, backstabbing environment? Who voluntarily jumps into a Snake Pit? Oh, there will be some who do, but there are likely many who would refuse, seeing how the present team is being treated.
Exactly, the best and brightest do not want to work in such an atmosphere if they are going to constantly have to watch their backs. We're six months into this administration, but this kind of crap can just about reset the clock back to the first day.
"There has got to be a huge amount of resentment toward Scaramuch for being a newcomer who is already starting problems. Someone is going to try to turn the tables."
That, and he said a lot of negative things about Trump in the recent past.

Would you rally if Tony whacked Priebus and Newt took COS? I would do backflips.

Oy vey,....if you missed the drama last night...
He tried to stab RP from the front about leaking of his financial disclosure..almost immediately got schooled and ridiculed via Twitter and Media...and it has escalated from there.
He deleted the Tweet late last night after NYT told him his forms were available 30 days after June 23.
Harvard Lawyer didn’t know.

Scaramucci has been there a week and has knifed “Senate Institution” Sessions and the guy who ran the RNC while the Repub Senators truly got all their power.
I just can’t imagine that people aren’t going to be throwing body blows back at him very very quickly.
I mean, he has Trump as an ally and that means nearly everything. But that’s all he has.

Works great on a reality TV show where only one person can win.
Among a White House staff, time spent among staff members competing with each other, is time that is not spent on advancing the President's agenda or working with Congress to reverse what Obama did.

I saw the following thought..can’t vouch for authenticity
paraphrased
Fred set up this same kind of combative atmosphere with his sons and it carried through to Trump

The damn so called Republicans in Congress have never been behind Trump anyway. They are afraid what he can prove and it will show just how sorry Congress has been for the last 20 years.
To: af_vet_rr
If Scaramuc cannot calm himself, and is not more careful,
he will be as welcome by the White House staff as Megan Kelly is welcomed at MSNBC. He has a big chip on his shoulder that acts as a dare for someone to come along and knock it off.
