Alien Gear Holsters made a post to their Facebook page Thursday morning which was critical of the officer-involved shooting of Antoquan Watson, suggesting that officers shouldnt have shot him so many times.
Antoquan Watson was high on PCP when he opened fire on officers during a vehicle pursuit and then exited his vehicle and started shooting at officers.
In the post to Facebook, Alien Gear Holsters said:
A reasonable and prudent person follows a police officers orders; Angry people sometimes show reluctance, but is it ever okay to shoot someone 45 times?
They then posted a clip of the video, which weve included below.
After getting hammered with criticism for almost 2 hours from pissed-off customers, Alien Gear Holsters deleted their comment and replaced it with a meme with no further comment, as if they are trying to pretend that their previous comment never happened:

I’ve got one Alien for my Ruger SR9, back when they were $20 or $30, when Motel 6 cost 5 bucks? ;-) But yeah, no more.
The `King Tuk’ is good (Galco?).
BTW I finally found an IWB for my CZ 97, after a years long, nearly holy grail search. Anyone wants the name, let me know. I’ll get out of my chair an haul my carcass to find out, `Black’ something.
CZ holsters are hard to find. I found a Minotaur for my P-01. It just came to me: `Black Arch’.
Got it on Amazon I think, cheep too. I wish they din’t make that scwhwiik noise. I like unicorns ....
PCP AKA Angel Dust makes people think they are strong and they dont feel or acknowledge pain ...
they could shoot him back he would keep on coming etc...where normally he would have gone down and stayed down...
This was a problem years ago where the police got into trouble for shooting a perp a number of times..or beatinbg him too much etc...
the person thinks he is Superman and his body acts that way..
His mama wasn’t sure if the baby daddy was Antonio of Quantrell, so each got half-credit.
No, most cops are lousy shots. If they are ‘gun guys’ by nature, they will learn to shoot, otherwise, they are worse than someone you grab at random.
He was doing OK until he went past Trump Plaza, then the hammers came down.
I’ll bet they had 45 hits, LOL! I didn’t start shooting yesterday, no way in hell they shot a guy 45 times and he’s still firing back!
Not to me.
The measure of when the police cross the line is simple:
If the person doing the shooting didn’t have a badge would those same police officers arrest him?
The ONLY thing that matters is: Was the FIRST shot justified? If it was then that shot was intended to kill the Perp. It matters not how many shots followed. Was killing the Perp. justified in these circumstances? if yes then 45 or 145 shot don’t matter.

Of course it is ... if that's all the ammunition you have.
That’s gonna be an interesting autopsy.
Damn, I ain’t gonna sign in.
I found this in an old thread, posted by a now unknown Freeper and repost it occasionally when it fits a topic.
The Center Mass Myth and Ending a Gunfight
http://www.gunsamerica.com/blog/the-center-mass-myth-and-ending-a-gunfight-triggernometry/
Lots of people stay in the fight after center mass hits, and some even win it... One, two or even several well placed center mass shots may not do what you think it will...
The author,Jim Higginbotham, who has had decades of LEO experience makes the case that even in the case of lethal hits, the perp has enough time to fire back, and in many cases kill people who were waiting to see the effect of their initial hits on target.
As a civilian, I found this article to be a real eye opener, and while it may be old news to those of you in law enforcement or the military (thank you all for your service), I hope you will take the time to read this article. God forbid any of us should get into a gunfight, but this article could be a lifesaver someday.
Watch the video. There already were bullet holes in the driver’s side of the perp’s truck when he spun out and skidded to a halt, so police obviously already knew they were in for a fight for their lives before he got out of the vehicle.
Their Use of Deadly Force policy probably tells them to continue to treat a deadly threat with a firearm as viable for so long as the suspect has control of the weapon. Most of the shots were fired when the perp was on the ground and on his back but with the pistol still in his hand and his hand on his chest. I only heard one shot on the tape that was fired after the perp dropped his gun, so by that yardstick, I can only see where there potentially might have been one excess round fired, but I couldn’t see what was going on on the right side of the perp’s body, or know where the final shot came from, so I can’t say with any reasonable degree of certainty that he wasn’t still presenting a threat or that all 45 shots weren’t justifiable.
Chances are, all the police were trying to fire while minimizing their exposure. Which by rights they should have been, since they had overwhelming force on the scene and the nimrod was surrounded. There was little risk of the perp escaping, therefore little threat to public safety if they took every possible measure to REDUCE THE RISK TO THEMSELVES. There was no point in any of them risking getting killed just so they could reduce their rounds expended. When the perp stepped out of the truck with a weapon in his hand and began advancing on police, his fate was sealed. The rest is just details.
His worked so well I think maybe Alien Gear should hire Dick Metcalf to run a redemption ad campaign for them. Seems to me they’re made for each other.
Check out post 30.
Just Dang!
The best gun for gang bangers.
I, for one, found that video deeply fulfilling and a great way to start my Friday.
Oh, and I am never buying a product from that company ever.
