Secretary of Defense James Mattis has ordered a full review of any military training not directly relevant to warfighting.
Mattis told the services to conduct a review of the requirements for mandatory force training that does not directly support core tasks, according to a Friday memo obtained by Military Times.
In other words, Mattis wants a full examination of all the hours of burdensome, irrelevant training service members have to undergo before deployment.

When you boil it down to its core, the military is about 18-30 year old men using guns and bombs to kill the bad guys.
Sensitivity training should be limited to “Grow A F@Kin’ Thicker Skin, Recruit!”
Fully agree...never liked that idea. Too much temptation with both sexes in a closed place like that.
So, actually using the military to break things and kill enemies?
I agree. To much temptation with having both sexes on vessels.
Return the male warrior culture the military and you get as many men as you need. Join the Army because you want to stand in defense of the nation, not because you want vo-tech training or save puppies.
The lack of common sense - or the evil left-wing agenda - has wrecked our armed forces.
Sounds good, but who is doing the study, a liberal, deep state Obama leftover? If so, PC training will continue
Well, then, we can either stop having dozens of foreign wars or simply put up with the trouble caused by having women in the military.
What did he say? Oh, love that question!
That’s the Marine in him. Marines don’t want to spend on anything that doesn’t directly lead to a dead enemy combatant. They don’t even spend from their meager budget to pay for their own medical staff, so they get them on loan from the navy. If they can’t serve double-duty as a rifleman, the Corps doesn’t want them. Give ‘em money for a pool table for the rec room and they’re likely to spend it for extra 5.56 ammo for marksmanship training.
The “broad” remark, BTW, harkens back to the pre-PC days when women in the Corps were called BAMs, broad-azz Marines.
In a more sensible era, all the services had a sub-branch exclusively for women. The WACs, WAFs, WAVES and BAMs (USMCWR) allowed women to serve and to rise in accordance with their abilities without having to compete against men.
It was still closer than it needed to be (the election). But if not for a few good people in places like OH, MI, WI, PA, NC and FL, who DID NOT sit on their hands this time, we may just have saved our nation - and in just the nick of time.
Fixed it
I was in the military for 21 years and have been a DoD civilian since 1995 and have seen these same classes so many times, as a yearly requirement, that I can recite the lines of the instructors. I can see this training being required once upon entering military service or civil service or even once every five or so years as a refresher, but year after year, as a yearly requirement? What a colossal waste of time and productivity.
And, in case anyone is wondering ... I'm on my lunch break right now (1130-1230).
No matter how hard you train nothing equals Combat.
He laughed.
He actually worked on cases in Iraq.
Mostly to do with promotions.
“Sir, the enemy is rolling up our left flank and the EO Officer wants to talk to you about Sergeant Schmedlap’s promotion.”
We all know that LGBT training is essential on the battlefield

I am very familiar with the term ‘broad’! I still use it from time to time.
What! No more diversity training? How shall we survive?
