Suspected leaker Michael Short has been terminated from the White House communications office, Breitbart News can confirm.
Short, an ally of White House chief of staff Reince Priebus and now former Press Secretary Sean Spicer—who resigned last week—was terminated on Tuesday by new White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci.
Short originally worked for the Trump campaign—placed on it by Priebus—and quit the campaign, sources tell Breitbart News, after the Access Hollywood tape came out. Politico confirmed this report, noting that Short walked out in the middle of the campaign leaving his computer behind only to show back up in January at the behest of the Republican National Committee (RNC) allies in the White House.
“He was scorned by many of his colleagues for quitting the Trump campaign, only to rejoin as a White House staffer because of Priebus,”
Multiple White House sources confirm to Breitbart News that Short was a leaker, and worked closely with now former White House deputy chief of staff Katie Walsh—another RNC wing official who was terminated earlier this year for her own leaking.
Short has not responded to a request for comment on the questions about his leaking. But he did tell CNN he does not believe he has been fired, even though multiple White House sources confirm he has been.
Scaramucci has confirmed multiple times in interviews over the weekend that he plans to root out leakers throughout the White House.
Now, on Tuesday, he has again confirmed that he will terminate everyone if necessary to stop the leaks.

Don’t JUST fire him. They’re willing to accept that...they’ll be picked up by the enemy.
Put him in legal trouble. Leaking classified material. Make him (or someone) spend a crap ton of $ on it. Better yet, put his butt in jail.
Just firing will only stop this guy. It won’t help with the rest and may even make the remaining traitors worse.

I think Priebus convinced President Trump to trust his experience.
So Spicer gets appointed press secretary, a disappointment. He had a relationship with Priebus in the past.
Next we get James Comey, FBI Director extraordinaire. No doubt Priebus assured Trump that there’s none better than Comey.
Finally, heh, Jeff Sessions, a man viewed by the world as a southern gentleman but hey, somehow Sessions kept hanging around Trump and Trump gave him a position with the team, as Trump is wont to do.
Yes, indeed, I think Priebus is behind all these bad appointments as buddies of the establishment keep showing up but keep getting fired.
I think there is a cabal going on in the GOPe and no matter how you feel about Sessions, is there any justification for him NOT telling Trump about recusing himself from the Russian investigation.
Would anybody reading this dare to hold such a very important thing back from their boss?
They are determined to destroy the one we elected, boobs that we are....so surmises the GOP elite, led by Priebus.
Please, no more GOP. Just. Stop.
So the guy who is in charge of communicating with the media is now also in charge of counterespionage? That does make a kind of sense I guess.
Fire them one at a time until the leaks stop.

Absolutely! Priebus needs to be next. I was actually amazed that Trump tapped him to be COS. I think some of Trump’s thinking was that if he “embraced” the RNC ( and that included this a$$hole that was just fired as well as Sean Spicer), that it would benefit him with the “Party Regulars” (i.e. the GOPe) and by extension, the Congress. Such didn’t turn out to be true. Also, I have noted the conspicuous absence of Prebus in any public pronouncements or functions. I could actually see Scamucci as COS, or certainly someone who operates like he does. Maybe Gorka.
Good riddance to bad TRASH!
Press Secretaries leak all the time and you're right, it's part of the job but the intent of PS leak should be to advance the President's message while at the same time currying a relationship with certain members of the WH Press. The leaks by Short were meant to damage the administration and prevent a clear and coherent message from ever getting through.
Kellyanne & Bannon (and maybe Lewindowsky) could shed some light in the dark corners, if asked privately.
President Trump deserves to be surrounded by a loyal staff and maybe that's hard to come by in today's world, especially in the Swamp.
This kind of this is exactly what happens to conservatives when elected: they're "given a staff of experienced people," most of whom are only loyal to D.C., not even to GOP House and Senate "leaders."
Usually these "staffers" are gay and uber liberal?

Given how well the Mooch is doing in his first few days in office, Chief of Staff would be a very logical move.
In fact, being Director of Communication he gets to learn on the job a key department under CoS position.
Recalling James Baker during the Reagan era. Now that was a Chief of Staff.
Personally, I think when they realized Trump would win and saw all those millions in small donations, they saw Trump as a money machine and nothing more and then figured, once in office, they could control him or oust him if need be. I know there’s been no shortage of RNC snail mail coming to my mailbox wanting donations.
They see Trump as a cash cow and thought him dumb due to his public persona and lack of refinement in private.
I think that initially Trump had no choice but to bring in someone who at least was pretending to be on Trump's side. Trump needed some sort of connection to the political power people, and starting out with a staff made up entirely of outsiders who have no clue how DC works would have made the job much harder.
I can't imagine Trump pulling off things like his trips abroad, crafting of his numerous EO's, visits from foreign leaders and lots of other things WITHOUT anyone around him knowing the details of how all this stuff has to be planned and executed.
Trump's just now starting to really get a better understanding of the way it all works, and is starting to get his people (from way outside the beltway) up to speed on the workings of things so he can now start to jettison the first round of people who have served this purpose.
Will he dance the Fandango?
