You claim that ‘Hindu religion is arguably the most tolerant of other religions.’ So glad you included the word ‘arguably’! I see the ‘tolerance’ in your ‘caste system’. Is it any wonder why so many ‘dalits’ come to the Lord? While this discrimination is not legal, based upon caste, it still occurs on a regular basis. I see it in the increasing violence by radical Hindus, attacking Christian preachers, raping nuns, burning churches and killing Christians, especially those former Hindus that have accepted Jesus as their Lord.
Why is it that these radical Hindus (and from your comments, perhaps even you) fear mere words spoken by preachers? A true democracy should be a free marketplace of ideas. Belief systems should rise and fall based on their utility, not being trampled by threat.
Of course, the Bible IS truth, it is light and it is life, so it is no surprise that it is attacked. satan hates truth and light, he has to flee from it, so it is no wonder that satan puts such hatred in men’s and women’s minds, to kill preachers and destroy the Word.
I’ve heard several Indian preachers, who receive support from my church, preach and also discuss what God is doing in their part of India. The miracles they speak of, and the changed lives they speak of, is amazing. The bottom line is, where the church is persecuted, like in India, it grows. God’s Word never returns empty!
As noted in previous comments, until the BJP and their radical Hindus followers cease the attacks on Christians, I believe that it is a good thing that two enemies of Christ, communist China, and BJP India battle it out. Such fighting should throw a spanner into the BJP et al’s plans to rid Indian of Christians by 2021.
Good post.
“Dalit” is not a religion. I respect your beliefs in the Bible. Because I am tolerant of all non-violent religions. I do not believe that Hindu beliefs is the only way to reach God. Again because I am tolerant of other religions. I hope you will learn to be tolerant of other religions as well.
