Some facts to consider and keep them in mind before any meaningful discussion can be pursued....
> Hindu religion is the oldest major religion on earth, tracing it’s origins some 4000+ years back.
> Hinduism was the only religion existing in India 2500 years ago.
> Hindu religion is arguably the most tolerant of other religions. Because several other religions trace their origins in Hindu India. Buddha was actually an Indian prince, and thus Buddhism began in India and spread to Oriental countries. Other religions who began in India are the Jains, Sikhs, besides a few other smaller sects.
> Hindu’s have never sent missionaries abroad in attempt to convert others in foreign lands to Hinduism, unlike Islam & Christians.
> Constitution of India dictates a secular country, with no official religion, unlike Pakistan, and many middle east Muslim countries, and to some extent Israel.
> There is no history for 4000+ years of Hindu’s converting others inside India with threat of physical harm or Jizya like tax on non-Hindu’s.
> Currently in India, there are 827 million Hindu’s, 138 million Muslims and 24 million Christians.
In my opinion, I would ignore statements from isolated RSS individuals spouting forced conversions. I know Indians first hand, having spent my first 20 years of life there. There is zero possibility of any mass FORCED conversions. Isolated cases of exceptions do not make the rule. 99.99% of the 24 million Christians in India are safe, prosperous and get along with others. During my college years in India, I had friends who were Christians, Muslims, Parsee’s, Jains and my closest friend in engineering college was a Sikh.
Have you noticed in site of 138 million Muslims living in India, the percentage of indigenous radical Islamic terrorists is lower percentage than other countries including Russia, Philippines, UK, France and Germany? Why do you think that is so? Because Hindu’s are the most tolerant of other religions.
In summary, the world’s largest democracy, with 800 million voter ID’s with photographs, can elect whoever the voters desire.
