Rockstar Kid Rock set off a political firestorm after teasing his Twitter followers about a potential Senate run in Michigan.
News broke this weekend that Kid Rock is LEADING challenger, Dem Debbie Stabenow in a new poll 30% to 26%!
Days later, Kid Rock tweeted out a ‘manifesto’ to his followers, laying out his political believes in a short graphic.

I can’t find this polling firm “Delta Analytica” and no one else is reporting this poll.
It says the poll is of “Michigan residents” (not likely or registered voters?) and it has 44% “decline to answer”.

The career politicians will get trounced if Kid Rock is minimally competent.
They will be about as successful as Ted Cruz last year trying to defeat Trump with the good old purity checklist of past positions and old quotes.
Kid Rock will fill stadiums for his rallies. Nobody will even bother getting to know your two serious candidates.

True, but we had the benefit of the primaries to find out which was the best candidate to put forward. You don’t want to hand a nomination for Senator to someone that we don’t know will be able to run a winning campaign.
That poll is terrible.
One is a former judge. The other has never run for office, but helped run Trump’s successful candidacy in Michigan. Not career politicians.
Again, if Kid Rock can make his case in the primary and distance himself from those unsettling social leftist positions and a lot of the other heavily negative stuff, and prevail, he’ll prove he’s worthy of support. Let’s face it, we don’t KNOW if he can run a race yet.
The fact that Kid Rock can fill a stadium only attests to his popularity as an entertainer. If that can’t translate to VOTES, it won’t matter.
Celebrity candidates can be a crapshoot. Here in Tennessee, way back in 1948, we had one of the biggest names in country music run as the Republican nominee for Governor. He packed in the crowds (i.e. “filled the stadiums”) for his rallies, and when it came to the election, he got 1/3rd of the vote against the Democrat.
I don’t have a vote in Michigan. Besides, I’m a Conservative, especially a social one. Why would I support or endorse a candidate who supports abortion, “gay” marriage, etc. ? That agenda is already supported by the Democrat incumbent.
I doubt the businesswoman lady will go anywhere.
But it would be foolish to take Black Republican and Former State Supreme Court Justice (elected statewide in non-partisan elections) Bob Young lightly.
Epstein may be the best to take it to Dangerously Incompetent, though, without the baggage and with a more Conservative platform.
He's running for Senator of Michigan, not Alabama.

Yep. It's a different ballgame now. Gone are the days when GOP candidates could show up with $400 haircuts and talk a good game on abortion and "traditional marriage" only to go to Washington and sell their voters down the river.
Rock is looking to win Michigan by appealing to Trump voters, not Jeb Bush voters. And those working class white guys with tattoos on their arms driving pickups don't give a damn about abortion or gay marriage (and they probably look at porn on their computers as well).
A PERFECT candidate? The only PERFECT candidate that I could ever come up with would be Jesus and I'm sure some folks would find fault with Him too.............LOL!
Outside of Detroit, Michigan is about as Socially Conservative AS Alabama. It’s the rich and upper class embracing socially decayed values, not the middle and working classes. Plenty of guys look at nekkid girls online, doesn’t mean they support baby killing and fag marriage. If you’re big on those latter things, why toss out the Democrat that supports that sick agenda ?

Younger conservatives have fatigue over these issues. They're sick of being browbeaten over about them. The old socons won't shut up about gays and abortions and then they go to Washington, don't do a damn thing about either issue, and proceed to sell the country down the river.
Honestly, abortion and gay marriage are down at the bottom of issues I lose sleep over. I'm a father of four kids. I'm worried about their future, their ability to provide for their families. Abortion and gay marriage don't mean a damn thing to me.

Well, we disagree. Rural Michigan is known for its similarities to Alabama. They're both Socially Conservative areas. You're as likely to see a Rebel flag out there in MI as in AL. Type in to Google just as an example, and see that I'm right.

RINOs not doing their damn jobs is the problem. Giving up certainly is not the answer. You keep throwing them out until we finally get the restoration of our values and this republic.

Well, I'm sorry you feel that way. However, any country that doesn't protect its most innocent is not a country that has any moral standing in the world. Gay marriage is nothing but a neverending assault by the left to undermine and destabilize the family unit, the very basic bedrock foundation of our culture and Western Civilization. It's also being used to criminalize Christians and Christian values in opposing its imposition. If you don't see how critical these things are to the future of our nation, I don't know what to tell you. If all of this is unimportant to you, I must ask why are you even posting on a Conservative website, rather than a Libertarian "I don't give a $hit" one ?
