Despite his recent criticism of Attorney General Jeff Sessions for recusing himself from the Russia collusion investigation of the Trump campaign, President Trump should thank Sessions for stepping aside from the probe that is drawing breathless media coverage almost every day.
Why? Because any investigation overseen by Sessions that cleared Trump and his campaign of wrongdoing would immediately draw criticism, due to Sessions role as an important surrogate and close adviser to candidate Trump. Democrats would complain that no matter how little solid evidence was found, Sessions would be acting improperly in clearing Team Trump because he was hopelessly biased in favor of the president.

It was obvious during hearing’s where things were going.
I have an idea there, but it isn't something that runs separate from what is in view. The Rats have access to all the material obtained by surveillance, and the press will publish everything it is given.
That is a bit out of view, but the attack vectors are, so far, consistent and in view. Russia, Sessions, other members of the Trump campaign and administration. Basically, "see press reports," and imagine allegations that can be fabricated against those targets. We don't know the allegations yet. But we do know the beachhead.
What is very telling is that the Lord granted us victory. I mean, it was truly a mircle. As worried as the left appears to be, it is not enough. Stir that in your coffee, smile and have a wonderful day! :)
Hearings before November? Trump expressed anger that Sessions didn't apprise of recusal from "whatever," before Sessions was selected.
I'm open to being corrected, but I've searched the Sessions confirmation hearings transcripts (that's a link to my summary of day one, January 10), the day when he did not appear on his own behalf, Comey hearings, and a few other hearings.
There were news reports of Russia interfering in the election before the election. That's a far cry from accusing the Trump campaign of a crime.
If Trump wanted a recusal-proof AG, he'd have as much luck at that, as he would finding a lawsuit-proof contract or property.
Anyway, you made a specific claim. Which hearing or hearings are you referring to? I'll study them for references to a case against the Trump campaign as well as references to recusal. Or you can back up your own claim that "it (a need for Sessions to recuse) was obvious during hearing's"
McCabe is still there because Wray was just confirmed. He will be dismissed or transferred to Fairbanks very soon
When it is finally over,
That’s the problem. It will never be over.
“Sessions is fine.”
I doubt it. New leaks today hitting him hard. Wouldn’t be surprised if they are coming from the Trump camp (Kushner).
I predict that Trump is planning to replace Sessions as soon as the healthcare bill clears the senate. Just as he fired Comey when the bill cleared the house. The controversial moves always come after a big win. Stay tuned. Replacing Sessions is the smart move. Mueller will never end his investigation unless stopped.
“What is very telling is that the Lord granted us victory. I mean, it was truly a miracle”
It’s that fact that brings me back to sanity when I start freaking out about everything that’s going on. God didn’t bring us this far only to desert us. I just wish He would rein in Satan and put an end to all this angst. We pray for that all the time.
I hate to say it but Sessions needs to go. Cruz has been a horses azz but he would be a better choice for AG. Or Trey Gowdy.
“Thats exactly what GW Bush did. That sure worked out well didnt it?”
Give me a break.
GW wasn’t draining any swamps - he was a crony calitalist, a big government advocate, an invader of privacy, pro amnesty and a war monger to boot.
Yes, he was portrayed as a moron by SNL and turned the other cheek. Yes, he let himself get framed for “lying about WMDs”, and never pushed back.
But there is no comparison between the revolution Trump is launching to drain the swamp and put America first and the fierce resistance he is facing vs. GB’s capitulation to the left’s crony capitalism, globalism, amnesty and big government solutions. The left passed all GW’s agenda and confirmed most of his nominees with little obstruction or foot dragging.
When I say Trump shouldn’t get aggressive, I just mean he shouldn’t fire Meuller etc.. That’s what they are HOPING he’ll do aka “Saturday Night Massacre”.
He should keep tweeting and appeal directly to the people, bypassing the MSM. It’s working.
Polls show that while the MSM focuses 90% of their reporting on RussiaGate, only 4% of those polled are interestmed in Russia, with most wanting to discuss real issues like the economy, healthcare and national and border security.
This profound disconnect between what the MSM is preoccupied with and what the voters are preoccupied with is a measure of how successful Trump’s strategy is.
Firing the special prosecutor would be exactly the wrong move - it would reinforce the MSM obstruction narrative and turn the public’s attention squarely back on the Russia/Trump fake controversy.
Right now, the public doesn’t give a crap about RussiaGate and Trump needs to keep it that way by continuing to tweet his successes on issues the public does care about while tweeting how fake the news is.
He’s winning the public trust - the MSM won’t report that fact but he is winning people over every day while his enemies are distracted by the illusion they have him cornered on this Russia thing. They don’t. They are getting played.
Let Trump play out his hand. Watch and learn. Eat popcorn. Call your congressman every day and tell him what you care about and don’t care about.
The ONLY way to win is for the voice of the people to be heard, and thank God we finally have a POTUS that understands this.
You've already forgotten what is apparently one of the most effective strategies this administration has already employed several times in this saga over the last six months ...
They deliberately leak false information to leftist media outlets for the sole purpose of discrediting and humiliating them.
The only way out of this incriminating innuendo is for Congress to call Muller forward to testify under oath why he does not have a conflict of interest in this hunt for a crime. Call your elected to remove Muller from this obvious attempt to remove this POTUS.
Trust me on this ... Trump (and Sessions) would be facing far more legal trouble today if Sessions DID NOT recuse himself. He would likely face the sorry prospect of having members of Congress -- or even someone filing a civil court action -- demand his recusal for two reasons: (1) apparent conflicts of interest, and (2) because he's a likely WITNESS in the case and therefore can't serve as the prosecutor.
I doubt Sessions does any of that. He is a low key kind of guy and in his mind taking action like that might look political. He is overly cautious IMO and not a good fit for AG.
Sessions offered his resignation and Trump refused to accept it.
I disagree. The points this guy made may be valid when applied to a run of the mill DC swamp creature. They are not valid for President Trump. I am pretty sure nobody in DC actually believes Russia helped President Trump. This is simply swamp creatures lashing out at an outsider because they see their sweet, rigged game changing. It does not matter what President Trump does or says so he might as well go whole hog and fire Mueller and Rosenstein and maybe Sessions.
Mueller is there to expunge all the criminal evidence against Hillary and Obama. If he can take Trump down in the process that is a bonus.
