-- Collins is in office because Maine wants her there, and they want her there because her positions match theirs. --

The party system is a closed club. We get to pick between tweedle-dee and tweedle-dum, both of which are selected from the class of people who attended the right schools, made the right conections, and rose to favor with the moneyed class.

Outsiders, even effective ones (see Daniel Wathen) are not welcome.

So you think the majority of Maine Republican voters don’t want ObamaCare repealed?

There is a difference between *preventing a vote from happening* (Garland) and *holding a vote and forcing > 50 "yea" responses*
(GOP Senate will show House whippersnappers how it's done
"Repeal and Replace"
"Repeal"

It’s pretty clear the democrats are better at being democrats than the republicans are at being republicans

you dont “get” it, because you assume he wants the same thing we conservatives want.

are you surprised every time Republicans are in power that planned parenthood keeps getting funding?

we have a bunch of traitors representing us who tell us what we want to hear to get elected and then “pretend” to make a failed effort to actually do it.

Awww, you don't give the Republicans due credit. They're as good at being Democrats as the Democrats are, sometimes better.

If you cannot lead your troops, Mitch, then resign.

McConnell is wasting ours, and everybody else’s time with this nonsense. This should have been a slam dunk, but the R’s once again let us down.

Move on to tax reform, and to ‘H’ with healthcare. Let it die under the ownership of the Democrats.

Mitch, make everyone of the Senators vote roll-call.

Plain and simple yes/no on the repeal of Obamacare.

Time to Man-up Mitch.

Grow a pair....

I’ve never quite understood this “let it die” theory.

Every CR and every budget has to fund it. If it does not, the budget won’t pass. To date every CR has funded it.

You’ll never get 50 votes to push a budget through that doesn’t fund it. So how does it die?

Trump doesn’t have a persuasive “Godfather” Chief of Staff like 0bozo did.

Fine with me. Get EVERY Republican (and Democrat) on record as opposing what they PROMISED-- either:

a.) a REPEAL of Obamacare (in case of Republicans)
or
b.) AFFORDABLE healthcare (in case of Democrats and Republicans)

In both cases, a NO vote on repeal of the Death Panels Obamacare Law will make these liars RIPE TARGETS for the 2018 elections.

Collins is representing her constituents. I get that. Rino is the best we can do in Maine. Murkowski is a selfish witch who got herself in office the first time by very shaky means. She was, however. easily reelected in 2016 so the people must have liked her Rino ways. She also has 6 years to go and may outlast Trump. I hope not but who knows. The one from W.V. is on shaky ground. Trump should go after her. Portman was just reelected easily here in Ohio. I can’t stand the Rino a-hole but the other guy was another Sherrod Brown. Trump has room to go after him because he is a Kasich butt buddy and the people here now hate Kasich. Like Murkowski, though, he has 6 more years and can stand to take the heat. Just my 2 cents.

You correctly note that a budget that does not fund it will not pass. But that does not mean those opposed to Obamacare should let a budget pass that does fund it. That is, refusing to pass a budget and shutting down the government is a two-way street. If the Dems and RINOs view the threat of a shut-down as their trump card, so too must conservatives but going the opposite direction. We have fallen into this trap of letting the other side use the threat of a shutdown to get their way while we have given up using that weapon ourselves. That is why we always lose.

It should die but probably the GOP will keep passing emergency funding.

My family has not had health insurance for years. Since O-care took over, we have a choice of paying the mortgage or having healthcare.

It also relies on forced purchases & fines.
Trump rescinded those. Then add in the fact its poorly constructed, even more so then the normal USG entitlement program. So auguring into the ground is a given just a matter of how fast!
