Response time seems to be back to normal (for now).
Sorry, don't know why. The system was dragging all day, but started working normally for the past hour or so. Thought maybe John had found and fixed the problem, but he said no. He doesn't know either. We have several servers running at the data center and most of them have been running fine. Could be the network switch or the front-end router/server (but it seems to be working fine). The database server isn't even breathing hard. The webservers are getting bogged down occasionally, but don't know yet if that's the cause or a result of the problem. Could be someone messing with us. He's still analyzing logs and trying to track it down. May have to just start swapping out components to rule them out.
Btw, we're currently running with about twice the load we had earlier today when it was all bogged down.
Prayers up.
Jim & John... Quick as a Flash. Wonder what happened? Donation to follow...
Pinging John to your post. Thanks.
Thank you very much, tubebender!!
Working real good now.
Not Russians, most likely domestic commies.
Several times in the past few days, I’ve been unable to access FR and also unable to access Facebook FR, to find out what’s going on. Facebook says that the page is unavailable—down, or “removed.”
This stuff has a habit of happening during Freepathons.
It’s Russia!
Yep, I quit posting/reading because loading times were around three minutes; seems a lot better now.
Commie bastards.
I don't know which is worse: Commie bastards or Illinois Nazi's.
I hate Illinois Nazi's.
Hildabeaste: You %$%#^%^%$#$%^&&$#&^%$ freakin’ idiot! I hired you to show me how to get lesbian porn on this $#%$^&&&%$#$ machine! What are these sold out Trump rallys doing on here!?” Beastie’s new (Not for long!)assistant: “Not my fault......the Russians must have hacked it! Would you like me to wipe it with a cloth?”
Happy to hear this news.....have been going through FR withdrawal as sometimes even logging in wasn’t happening.
Thank you and John for staying with it til you discover what happened.
Jim is the system on Oracle? If so check to see if the cursor is closed after each opening, if not all the info stays in memory, thus bogging the systen down to a halt.
Didn’t notice until late. I was thoroughly engrossed in the televised Japanese Sumo tournament. If Professional Bull Riding was on, I wouldn’t have noticed at all.
Does it matter if we go back to 50 per page?
We’re not on Oracle.
I tried 50 for awhile. When it started feeling a bit sluggish, I went back to twenty. Think I’ll leave it at 20 until John announces an all clear.
