I'm very sorry (again), but our recurring response time nightmare is back (again).
The good news, though, is John has finally checked in. He's been out of town a lot in the last couple weeks dealing with some urgent family issues regarding his other half's adopted child. Praying that works out soon. He also says his phone needs to be replaced and has not had time to get it done.
The bad news is, he has not been able to resolve our server issue yet. He suspects it's some kind of intermittent error in our network switch or router and wants to replace our front-end hardware but has not had time to purchase the new equipment or get back up to San Joose to install it. Hopefully, soon.
Meanwhile, until John finally gets it fixed, here's a possible temporary workaround:
At the top of the articles index page click: "Account" and then "My Preferences."
Set 20 messages per page
Set 20 results per page
Set them both to 20. You can change them back after John gets the problem fixed.

Prayers up.
I have trouble with the thingamajig working with the whatchamacallit!” LOL! I’m so there!
Occasionally at work I’ll say something like “I need that goober that does blah, blah....” The looks on the millennial’s faces are just priceless. People my age know what I’m taking about!
“...or get back up to San Joose to install it.”
San Joose. Is that anywhere near TJ?
Or does San Joose bite your sister?
It never occurred to me that John had a life other than FR. I'm not sure how I feel about that.
No argument. I could be “wronger” than a 13 year old male prostitute discovered in a hotel room with your preacher. Why I think it is threading. Setting to 20 fixes it. FR is legacy code. FR used to be magnificently fast. HT had lots of OS issues. Older compilers have no idea of the multicore nature of todays CPUs even run time ones. The repeatability at a point of time of the failure and that it is not consistent over time. Have seen it over and over again. IMHO it is a problem with FR running on a multicore system. Best fix IMHO is run FR in a vm emulating a single core system and let the OS and VM handle the switching.
Thanks very much.
BTTT
You can hire people to fix this for $5 : )

Done - thanks Boss!
Jim, I have been using this 20/20 work around, and it has worked very well about 90+ % of the time.
At the top of the articles index page click: “Account” and then “My Preferences.”
Set 20 messages per page
Set 20 results per page
Set them both to 20. You can change them back after John gets the problem fixed.

It’s south of Tel Aviv :D
+1
Thanks Jim, A little FR is better... than less than... that amount. BLESS YOU BROTHER!
It’s the russians.
Then there’s the extra step that some posters (including me) find necessary after changing to the 20/20. Go to the main page and set “Brevity” to “headers” as opposed to “text”. I still had a lot of trouble until I did that. After changing to “headers” there’s less trouble, at least for me.
