He said, I love it.
Yes, upon being informed in June 2016 he might soon be in receipt of information from the Russian government damaging to Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump Jr. responded with the words, I love it.
He didnt call the FBI to say he had evidence the Russian government was seeking to interfere with the presidential election of 2016. No, he said, I love it and set up a meeting with the shady Russian lawyer who, he was told, might share dirt with him.
He didnt steer the Trump campaign away to shield it from the stain of a potentially scandalous encounter with an operative working for Vladimir Putin. No, Trump Jr. brought the campaigns chairman, Paul Manafort, and his brother-in-law, Jared Kushner, into the meeting.
Donald Jr. loved it so, you see.
Now, the fact that Donald Jr. loved the idea of getting the goods on Hillary Clinton from a foreign antagonist doesnt suggest anything criminal in itself.
According to the three people who set up the meeting 1) Trump Jr., 2) a bizarre British publicist named Rob Goldstone and 3) a shady Russian lawyer named Natalia Veselvitskaya the proceedings ended up centering on Russias adoption policy.
So unless theyre dissembling and they could be no actual collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government took place at the meeting. If theyre not prevaricating, this isnt the smoking gun that will take down the Trump presidency.

These people give Don Jr. the impression that they have something he should know about Hillary. Hillary and Bill had many shady dealing with Russia - why on earth would Don Jr. NOT want to know more details? Americans have a right to know what criminal activities the Clintons were orchestrating.
These people then come in and discuss Russian adoption? Sounds like a setup, pure and simple. They just wanted to release the emails when they figured the time was right.
you can bet your life Podhoretz and the rest of the FakeNewsMSM know about all the Dem connections that have come out on this story....YET they carry on with a one-dimensional anti-Trump narrative that is utterly trivial and an embarrassment to the journalistic profession.
“”They just wanted to release the emails when they figured the time was right.””
I thought Don, Jr., released the emails. Heck - I can’t zero in on this especially after last night trying to watch him on Hannity. His manner of speaking with his teeth clenched - AND FAST - is impossible to follow - at least for me. I finally gave up.

DARN - posting is bogging down again....hence, the duplicates...
I assumed he only released them because the contents started coming out from the NYT. Not sure, as I am so sick of hearing about this crap that I have mostly tuned out. I got the impression he only revealed them because someone else was talking about them. Sounded like a setup to me.
Those who think Trump Jr. should have not taken the meeting and called the FBI need to see what Hillary did rather than to call the FBI. She held a server with all emails in her house rather than let the government have them. The DNC did not allow the FBI to check their servers. The reality is that nobody who knew the FBI or justice department felt that they were anything but a leaky political machine. You have the head of the justice department meeting with Clinton on a tarmac. The reality that Jr. had no choice but to take the meeting or deny it. But to tell the FBI was not an option. If he did the New York Times headline would have been “unnamed government source confirms Russians trying to colluding with Trump to throw election”.
Oh no. If Trump has lost the support os a scumbag like Podhoretz, he is done. President Trump is doomed # 3,456.
I have seen reports that Donald Trump Jr. turned the e-mails over to the FBI months ago (maybe last year), but only made them public yesterday when it was being reported that the New York Times had them.
McCain still the Elder Statesman.
Im so sick of these double-standards and absurdities.
Hilly and Bill get rich off Foundation through state department, not a peep.
Barry O outright lies on “ keep your doctor” not a peep.
No info even turned over, but MSM ignores that. Meeting isn’t even for the purpose originally proposed, lawyer states not affiliated with Kremlin but weasels on nightly news and cable synchro-rats spew their disinformation.
Goebbels would be proud of them...
If I was in the shoes of Donald Trump Jr. when this all went down last June, I would have proceeded based on the assumption that the leadership of the FBI was a complicit conspirator in any wrongdoing that the Russian contact was claiming to know about.
“...from the Russian government ...”
I thought the Brit who was the agent for the girls in the Miss Universe contest was the middleman trying to arrange the interview with the Russian attorney - the Russian government was not mentioned.
Then two weeks later she is photographed at a meeting sitting next at table with Obama’s ambassador to Russia. Could this be an Obama set-up.
I did a search on the woman lawyer and found where she worked for three years in a district prosecutors office upon completion of law school and no other connection to the government.
Is this administration so masochistic to take this day in and day out? At first I thought we were playing "rope-a-dope". Playing defense all the time must be exhausting.
The GOP inexplicably, with few exceptions, will not back the President.
I agree with your thoughts.
Where are the good people, even if only a handful to shame the others on Capital Hill?
Do you see even one? I don’t.
Oh I expressed myself well enough since it instantly generated the appropriate level of outrage. It's just folks who are outraged and misplace the target of their outrage because they don't think.
