Cops once again turned their backs on Mayor de Blasio at a police funeral.
Scores of officers who assembled for assassinated police officer Miosotis Familia on Tuesday showed Hizzoner their backs during the mayors eulogy a move reminiscent of the funeral for slain officer Wenjian Liu in 2015.

The protest comes after de Blasio skipped town for Germany Thursday the day after Familia was assassinated by cop-hating gunman Alexander Bonds.

Ah, you do.
What the cops are doing is self righteous, not holy, not God fearing.
Um, yep. Read how the early Christians actually acted. Their eyes were on heaven.
He’s supposed to do this by calling off his travel that completed prior to the funeral?
I call that drama queening. Pot, meet kettle. This has turned infantile.
I can tell you what will win as a result of the pissing contest.
Crime in New York.
You seem to have completely lost perspective. Recommend that you get more sleep.
Understand the sense of disgust.
However someone has to be the adult in the room. Who smiles when the children squabble?
I think it’s the criminals of New York.
Find fault with my logic if you can.
And basically is BLM fearing as a result of this? Can you make a cogent case that the answer is yes?
I think it distracts from either replacing de Blasio or getting him to see the light. Moves like this only embolden a narcissist in self-faith. De Blasio, however wicked, is not a mush.
I’m hoping to be helpful. If New York keeps on being fractious, it deserves the little Napoleons of either party it gets. The cure is to look to God.
Perspective? You are the one making everything revolve around the cops.
Ever hear of cutting off your nose to spite your face?
Well I grant this. Such breakdowns (which will worsen any BLM problem as well as turning police increasingly cynical) are God’s way of signaling to mankind “miss Me yet?”
And so they are necessary. But righteous? My foot.
You’re losing your composure here.
Agreed.
I'm not going to get into an argument with you about this. I agree with the cops turning their backs on that communist a-hole and it once again (not the first time the NYPD has done this) sends the message to de Blasio that he has lost their respect and trust. Now, if the citizens of NYC get it that de Blasio is poison and vote him out of office this coming November, that would be the icing on the cake.
“What ever happened to old fashioned conservatism?”
I guess it’s been replaced by a refusal to passively turn the other cheek and to fight evil, instead of seeking collegiality and acceptance at any cost.
A strawman lurks here.
There is no “passively” in turning the other cheek. It’s accompanied by other action, wisely pursued. With great great stress on wisely. Want to see what wisely means? Read the Proverbs, for examples.
Okay. Let’s just agree: You grovel, I’ll fight.
There’s no “grovel” here. There’s “stand up firm for what GOD says is true.”
A house divided against itself cannot stand. Criminals are rejoicing here.
And incidentally, the police have as much right to protest on these very same grounds to de Blasio.
“De Blasio, do you want crime to win here? If so, then by all means keep on forbidding us to enforce the law.”
The difference here is that God is now honored.
I stand with the PD....
I think you are wrong....
But I must confess. If you want this picture to keep on having nothing to do with GOD, then by all means have your little self righteous fight back temper tantrums, making the problem into a microcosm around you. Feel free. You were warned, you spurned the warning. Now reap the consequences.
Your problem is that you think God is wrong.
“Fear God; honor the king.” Doesn’t say a nice king or a cooperative king.
