As a holder of a Ph.D in a real subject, I will categorically state that ANY degree in (Fill-in-the-blank) Studies is not actually higher education. It is a poor excuse for intellectual masturbation intended to guilt another person into doing what the degree holder has convinced themselves is right.

This is NOT about our NOT USING words that are bad but about them requiring other people to use certain words and concepts ... to speak, to believe, and even to think — or at least act like they believe and think — as they decide we should.

I suppose that CS Lewis might have said of the Nazis that they all chests, with withered away heads. Conversely he described the issue as he saw it in his culture as men with heads but withered chests. But have events born him out? Not really because for the many, and now well advanced into those we might be tempted to imagine they still at least have heads, the head has withered with the chest.
Instead the ultimate result of what Lewis observed is Withered Men: the legs, guts and the genitals strutting about and behaving just as we see them behaving.
I do not fault Lewis for not seeing it because It was just easier for Withered Men to maintain the pretense of their still having heads because they could still parrot men who once had heads themselves.
