State prosecutors have filed new, more specific invasion-of-privacy charges against two antiabortion activists for secretly recording conversations at national meetings of abortion providers, after a San Francisco judge dismissed most of the initial charges.

David Daleiden, leader of a group called the Center for Medical Progress, and an employee, Sandra Merritt, posed as fetal researchers to gain entry to the conventions of the National Abortion Federation in San Francisco in 2014 and Baltimore in 2015.

The two said afterward they had been acting as investigative journalists to expose alleged plots by Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers to sell fetal parts. Lawyers for the abortion federation say its members were subjected to harassment and death threats after Daleiden’s group posted edited versions of the recordings online.

This will not ultimately go anywhere but in the meantime it will tie up assets and detract from the Mission as it serves to intimidate conservative investigators.

Exactly. How can a convention be private. It’s not a privacy issue,it’s a disagreement issue. Those who disagree with abortion are breaking the law.

The pro-life people are advocating to prevent the murder of human beings . The abortion people are advocating to have human beings murdered. It is obvious that the crime against society rests with the abortion advocates.

WTF is a National Abortion Federation? Are they no different than a National Socialist which ultimately has has the same agenda? It is so reassuring that our government funds abortion and courts uphold it.

"Malicious prosecution!"

MY THOUGHTS EXACTLY.

Let this play out, let the full tapes run in court.

If they succeed in finding a guilty verdict, Trump should issue a full pardon 30 seconds later.

I'm pretty sure what The Founders would have done with a malicious prosecutor back in the day.

And BTW - malicious prosecutors such as these didn't exist in the early 1800s - because The Founders didn't fund an immortal bureaucracy.

There can be only one.

My guess is they are using the california wiretap law that does not approve of one party taping of conversations. Why they have such a low I don’t know. Seems to me if you say something in public or between two people, your expectation of “privacy” is voided. But it is California, land of the nut.

Fight back with the same tools they are using to prosecute David Daleiden....donate to his defense. www.thomasmoresociety.org

(I am not associated with them, but I know that are doing a fantastic job in this case. I can’t do anything myself, but I can help the ones who are in the battle!)

And PRAY!
