Hacked computer server that handled DNC email remains out of reach of Russia investigators
Washington Times ^

It is perhaps the key piece of forensic evidence in Russia’s suspected efforts to sway the November presidential election, but federal investigators have yet to get their hands on the hacked computer server that handled email from the Democratic National Committee.

Indeed, the only cybersecurity specialists who have taken a look at the server are from CrowdStrike, the Irvine, California-based private cybersecurity company that the DNC hired to investigate the hack — but which has come under fire itself for its work.

Some critics say CrowdStrike’s evidence for blaming Russia for the hack is thin. Members of Congress say they still believe Russia was responsible but wonder why the DNC has never allowed federal investigators to get a look at the key piece of evidence: the server. Either way, a key “witness” in the political scandal consuming the Trump administration remains beyond the reach of investigators.

Probably evidence of voter fraud on it.

They were lying about the hack. There was no hack.

Not only didn’t “17 agencies” investigate the case, the three that supposedly did never looked at the DNC server. And still haven’t.

And why would they?

Are we to believe that if the DNC computer contained the slighted scintilla of evidence to support their 'RUSSIA RUSSIA" lies, they wouldn't have had it "above the fold" for months on end.

Or do we suspicion that they wouldn't 'let' the FBI see it - and the FBI did nothing TO see it - because there is no "RUSSIA RUSSIA" - but that something leads to 'Seth"?

Of course those files were secure! Podesta got the pop-up that said “Your files are in danger! Submit your password and click the “Secure Files” box to guarantee secrecy.” He did so, thus it wasn’t his fault.

It’s not so much the DNC holding back the server, as that we’ve been fed a cock-and-bull story for months that the US intelligence agencies investigated the hack, when it was an absolute lie now that we know they’ve never even looked at the server.

Same MO as the Benghazi lie. Conscious, intentional lying.

If you went to the police and said your car was burglarized and the thieves stole $1,000 in cash, but placed the car where detectives could never examine it — how much interest would the police have in your burglary story?

>> I am going out on a limb her but I think Russia HAS these deleted emails. If they were trying to damage her, why didn’t they leak them?

I don’t see that as going out on a limb one bit.

Immediately upon the story of Clinton’s private Sec’y of State bathroom Exchange server coming to light, my immediate reaction was that our intelligence people had better be operating under the assumption that any country with an intelligence service worthy of the name had the complete contents of that server. And quite likely some non-state actors. At least 8-10 countries off the top of my head, some friendly, some not. Our operations people *really* needed to be aware of those contents, and operating under that assumption.

I did not need to speak with any Russians to come to that conclusion. Neither did candidate Trump, which is why he jokingly suggested maybe the Russians would provide us with the “lost” HRC emails.

What the hell are the investigators doing? Have these people never heard of a subpoena? A warrant?

Oh, I forgot. Jeff Sessions is Attorney General.

We can't just subpoena the DNC's hard drive....I mean.....it involves "Russia" and all of that..

You see...Crowd Strike said so....and I have to abide by what they and the DNC order me to say.....

I must Recuse myself, and once again apologize......the server is off limits.......

I am not convinced the DNC computer was ever hacked by anyone. Only Hilary’s staff claimed it was so. They refused to allow the FBI to investigate the claim and turned it over to another, a Hilary supporter company who only found “thin” evidence. There is strong evidence this is just another Democratic hoax.

The only evidence we have is that DNC emails were in fact leaked.

After that it’s been cover-up and lying.

What agency has sufficient credibility to perform an honest examination of the server? Who would believe that it had not been tampered with in the meantime? I assume that Crowdstrike’s primary job was cleanup. Hillary and the Dems are experts at drowning the truth in muddy water.

The press should blame the DNC, not CrowdStrike. But, it’s not like the press is fair.

So, if Obama knew that Russia was trying to help Trump get elected and Trump was colluding before the election, why did he do nothing? Has there ever been another case in political electoral history where a political party saved their mud to sling at their opponent until after they lost?

I guess these people really are as stupid as we think.

The whole Russian collusion accusation after the election could simply be a cover story for the political espionage the Obama regime did on the Trump campaign.

Had to make up some excuse for the surveillance and unmasking.

right - but as I have been led to understand, those leaks could have come from anyone on their contact list. Is that possible?
