Former President Barack Obama delivered a speech overseas Saturday, warning that some nations are becoming too nationalistic.
Speaking to a crowd in Jakarta, Indonesia, Obama argued some countries had adopted “an aggressive kind of nationalism,” adding that there has been an “increased resentment of minority groups.”
Though he largely stayed away from discussing President Donald Trump, Obama spoke out against the isolationism and increased nationalism that he sees as a global problem.
“We start seeing a rise in sectarian politics, we start seeing a rise in an aggressive kind of nationalism, we start seeing both in developed and developing countries an increased resentment about minority groups and the bad treatment of people who don’t look like us or practice the same faith as us,” he said.

Good observation. Indonesia is a multi-religion country. Sumatra is mostly Muslim. Borneo/Kalimantan Christian (thanks to my aunt, uncle, cousins). Bali is small but economically important and Hindu/Sikh. Most Muslims are moderate ... equal or more moderate than Singapore which they admire more than anything.
It is those moderate Muslims who keep electing Christians to office in Muslim areas. (Some moderate Muslims have been elected in Christian areas also.)
There is a small percentage of Muslims who are not moderate. They admire the Muslim radicals in the Philipines. You’d be surprised what a small, dedicated group can do when everyone else wants to play nice.
One “secret” of Obama has already been not only leaked, but formally attested to in press conferences. Former Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s 5 year investigation has established beyond a reasonable doubt that the birth certificate that Obama had placed on the whitehouse.gov website is a counterfeit. He even revealed the GENUINE birth certificate used has a template for Obama’s counterfeit one was issued to a person named Johanna Ah’nee in 1961 in Hawaii and used to manufacture the .pdf that was claimed to have been a copy of what was issued in 1961.
The question that remains is why did Obama proffer this fake has genuine and why has there been no other formal inquiry to corroborate or invalidate Arpaio’s findings?
It was a rhetorical question. I won’t trust Obama with watering the lawn much less the most important job in the world.
