We’re told CNN flew into a panic on Friday after it accidentally aired a fake National Enquirer cover during Jake Tapper’s broadcast.
The cover — which has the headline “Heidi Cruz: Betrayed by Cheating Husband!” and promised details on a “sordid threesome, sleazy love letters and sensational photo proof — has never appeared on the National Enquirer, according to sources at the magazine.
We’re told the network is taking the matter seriously, and that it has been referred to the networks standards and practices department for review.
The blunder comes just a week after three news staff resigned because CNN had to retract a false story about supposed links between Trump ally Anthony Scaramucci and a Russian investment fund.

This is going to get interesting. Let’s see what Cruz does. If his “zipper problem” was fake news he will sue the crap out of CNN. This story has been lurking around since Cruz was a contender. The Brown Shirt Media trolled it out just as he was losing to Trump and when they realized it wasn’t needed they reeled the bait back in. Save it for another day. If it was a bogus story Cruz will go for their throat. If there is some truth to it he won’t do anything to attract more attention.

As irritating as they are, we want them to keep it up. If the commies can grasp that “the issue is never the issue” we need to as well. As long as the BSM is destroying itself, take Napoleon’s advice and if an occasional “nudge” from Trump via Twitter can keep them frothing at the mouth voters will remember. We need them there, doing just what they are, so come Election Day we can point to them and ask, “Do you really want to put THESE people back in charge?” If they can “resist” irrationally all we have to do is stand back and let them.
Interesting that Montana Grill Ted Turner has not come out in support of his creation.

While I came out of the primaries not at all a fan of Ted Cruz after coming into them positively disposed and viewing him as the frontrunner, I’m going to say that the purported “zipper problem” crap is just that. Not credible. Have any of the people trying to claim this actually watched the guy? A lothario he ain’t. He doesn’t have it in him.
Confused here. Where did the fake cover come from in the first place, and how did it come to be hanging in Tapper’s office?

I saw Geraldo Rivera defend Trump on that. He said something to the effect, "Trump was on the cover of Time dozens of times over the years."
CNN used a fake cover to air a fake story.

The Enquirer is invariably turned over in my supermarket, but usually The Globe is on full display.
