San Antonio Police Chief William McManus tells us one officer is in grave condition and not expected to survive. The other officer was shot in the chin and is expected to survive.

Two police officers are in critical condition and a suspect is dead following a shooting north of Downtown.

San Antonio Police Department Chief William McManus confirmed the officers were on routine patrol when they stopped two individuals around 3:25 p.m. near the 100 block of West Evergreen, between North Main and Howard Street.

McManus said that both officers were getting out of their vehicle when they were immediately fired upon by one of the suspects. One officer was struck in the face/head area and the other in the chin with the bullet becoming lodged in his torso. The officers returned fire and struck the suspect. The other suspect was immediately taken into custody.

Prayers up. Didn't see this posted anywhere so here it is. Routine stop? Guess not. Don't know if anyone will get any details of the investigation.

Prayers up. God bless the thin blue line. I don’t know how they do it, with the war on law enforcement ongoing.

“Routine stop?”

Every cop will tell you there is no such thing.

the police constantly complain about being out gunned.

If the police would reach out to the Militias, they would no longer have to worry about being out gunned.

BUT, to do that they have to publicly state that whey will put the Constitutions of both the US and their state ahead of all other so called ‘laws’ and mean it.

I’m waiting to see the ethnic background of the punks who shot these officers.

It was just last November a SOB* shot and killed a SA police officer because he was upset at losing a child custody battle.

Is this a similar type shooting?

“If the police would reach out to the Militias, they would no longer have to worry about being out gunned.”

McManus will NEVER do that - he’s long since stopped signing off on full autos and other NFA items. He’s an anti-gun ‘hole.

Dear Heavenly Father, We praise Your Holy Name. An injustice has been done to two police officers in the line of duty. We ask for Your Divine intervention in this hour of need for these two officers one of which is in grave danger. You, Father God are are the Great Physician. We pray for hope and comfort for family members of these brave men. And also let this be a time of testimony and Salvation. We pray in the precious Name of Jesus, Amen

Never happen.

I’m not sure if even My Uncle would have gone for it but I would like to think that he would have.

He started as a Beat Cop after WWII and retired as Chief when the Mayor and City Council wanted Him to cover something up. He was strictly by the book.

He also had great respect for the Public.

This is what happens today if an officer thinks it is routine.
