There's quite a brouhaha over President Trump's critical tweets directed at media talking head Joe Scarborough and his sidekick, Mika Brzezinski. Every other talking head is yelling 'unpresidential' and harrumphing away.
Frankly, who cares?
Everyone knows the president likes to yell at the television set. According to Glenn Reynolds, that makes him just like the rest of us. The tweets are just way of sharing that ire with us. Big deal.
Nobody starves. Nobody wins the lottery. Nobody goes to war. Nobody gets cured. Nobody loses union benefits. Nobody's dog gets run over. Nobody's kids get taken away. Nothing of consequence is going to come of this.
It's just words. And it's between President Trump and Scarborough, so let them hash it out.
For me, and probably most of Trump's supporters, we go back to the defining summary of the Trump phenomenon, from Salena Zito:

100% agree as to substance and succinctness. Could not agree more, and especially over the Saturday “they’re wiretapping me” tweet. That cut off some segment of the contra-Trump chatter immediately and ultimately proved to be largely correct. And yes, the Comey “tapes” tweet. A brilliant gambit which flushed out Comey big time.
The enemy think that the President is undisciplined and rash with his tweets. I don’t. I think he’s very strategic and a mile ahead of his opposition. Look at his ‘wiretap’ tweet. The media claimed he’d gone over the edge, he’s a liar, he’s an ignoramous, etc. etc. etc. and then what do we learn a few weeks later? Trump was under surveillance by obama! What about the Comey tapes. That brilliant little tweet completely flushed out the snake Comey and changed the whole trajectory of the so called Russian Collusion investigation!
People with Trump’s temperament enjoy arguing and competing. They thrive on it and it makes them feel alive. Trump is not going to stop because it feels normal for him. Stop telling Trump to stop.

The pundits and “news” media are absolutely useless appendages in this republic.
I have to read foreign news to keep up with what is going on legislatively in America. Business, world news and vital information is never mentioned by the MSM.
Watching CBS evening news for the first time in years while visiting some friends recently was an exercise in the inane, inconsequential and time-wasting.
Try the Economist even with its obvious lefty slant, Der Spiegel for some insightful articles. In today’s edition is a discussion about famine worldwide. And guess what? It is not Trump’s fault.
The American media is a laughing stock, an embarrassment of Brobdingnagian proportions. CNN thinks anyone but their base is ignorant? Look in the mirror CNN. Stupidity is staring back at you.
Saying things like "Everyone knows", Monica, is a Katie Couric tactic, and it's smarmy. Can you name some of the people in this set of "everyone" who knows?

Yep. I think of it as an East Coast thing. Open confrontation among relatives and friends, and hair trigger emotions with strangers. Not something approved of in the Midwest, but not too strange either.

Trump tweeting works for me.
Anti-Trump people will not stop caterwauling about it. Yet what he tweeted is nothing compared to the New York Times funding an assassination play in Central Park. Or saying Trump is a traitor and colluded with the Russians. The DNC-Media is lying viciously and it’s time for a little payback.
Most pro Trump people have shrugged it off, because they could care less what the media says.
I have seen too many things that are an affront to national decorum to start going into hysterics about Mikas plastic surgery.

Trump is a multi-billionaire because he takes no garbage off anyone and demands 100% loyalty. He expects his friends to be his friends and not stab him in the back. He takes it as a personal insult and there will be payback. For years Deliverance Joe and his liberal girlfriend were two of his best friends in the media. Then they stabbed him in the back and talk about him like he’s a lowlife no-body unfit to be dogcatcher must less president. Read Trump’s books, especially Art of the Deal. Its a blueprint of his presidency. His life is an open book. No one should be surprised by anything he does. He’s also a patriot who loves his country. I think it’s great we now have a real American as president who actually accomplished something in his life and not another stiff-collar lifelong politician who acts like a robot.
Trump is a media genius.
The left wing mediots go beserk when he tweets and shreds them.
While they are foaming at the mouth, his agenda gets advanced!
