Fueled by one of the world’s largest tourism industries, Nevada is preparing to do the same on July 1. A May report published by Gov. Brian Sandoval’s task force on marijuana estimates that up to 63 percent of recreational buyers will be tourists.
“Everything we know shows that millennials are very pro-marijuana, and that’s the new marketing push,” said Nevada state Sen. Tick Segerblom, a longtime marijuana advocate. “This is a game-changer for Las Vegas and tourism here as far as I’m concerned.”
“Amsterdam on steroids,” he added.

I’m in Vegas as we speak. Stopped into one of the dispensaries a few days ago to look around. They are heavily advising their customers to stock up before Saturday. All are anticipating huge lines and total sellout. I think this will be huge for Nevada, especially with the tourists.

Yaelle, my wife was certified in NYS for medical marijuana because she had cancer and all we could get was CBD in a tincture form, but as rktman pointed out, we couldn't bring it with us because Federal law still considers it to be illegal and you can get busted if caught. You're better off getting just enough to get you through during your time in Vegas.
