Fueled by one of the worlds largest tourism industries, Nevada is preparing to do the same on July 1. A May report published by Gov. Brian Sandovals task force on marijuana estimates that up to 63 percent of recreational buyers will be tourists.
Everything we know shows that millennials are very pro-marijuana, and thats the new marketing push, said Nevada state Sen. Tick Segerblom, a longtime marijuana advocate. This is a game-changer for Las Vegas and tourism here as far as Im concerned.
Amsterdam on steroids, he added.

Be honest stickman. You really don’t see the “prohibitionist” dog whistle in any of my remarks. Your paranoia is seeing threatening things in mere words, when such threatening “prohibitionist” things are not there at all.
And your appeal to popularity is the way 14-year-old girls talk. “We’re popular, you’re not, so we won’t take you seriously.” Really? Next thing you know, you’ll be claiming hildebeast deserves to be president because she won the popular vote.
You’re better than this, stickman.
Maybe you should actually read it.
Get out the word then we been had. You act as if any of this mattered. The 2nd at one time may have mattered, not anymore.
Get out the word then we been had.
This is old news to true conservatives.
You act as if any of this mattered.
The Constitution will always matter to true conservatives.
"As a conservative site, Free Republic is pro-God, pro-life, pro-family, pro-Constitution, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun, pro-limited government, pro-private property rights, pro-limited taxes, pro-capitalism, pro-national defense, pro-freedom, and-pro America." - Jim Robinson
It’s Friday night, VT. Go watch a movie or stare into a mirror & tell yourself how awesome you think you are. In any case, have a pleasant night and I forgive you for being so arrogant & disparaging. I’m sure it won’t be the last time.
“Youve told me your story before, and I know that pot isnt your god, instead its just a coping mechanism. “
Aww, how sweet. Another diagnosis fallacy.
Will you tell me how tall I am too? The color of my eyes or my shoe size?
Maybe you know where I hid my bag of gold. You see, I was sleep walking, dreaming about my mother and I....
You’re givin’ good ad humminer, stickman. :)
Paranoia, big destroya. :)
Either they're lying, or you are. My family also has a few MDs and other doctorates in it.
At a bare minimum, it relieves pain better than aspirin and ibuprofen (without the anti-inflammation effects). It acts as a very effective appetite stimulant (important for many maladies, both physical and psychological). It is exceptional as a stress-reliever. Toss aside all of the other claims about cancer and Parkinsons and the other biggies... those 3 I listed alone are huge and basic medical benefits that are undeniable by any human being with an ounce of education or common sense. So, once again, ether they're lying, or you are. Care to guess which?
That Drug Lord got 71% of Floridians to vote how he wanted? Geez, the Russians should contract with him. He is far more effective at election-influencing than they are.
And yes, you sound exactly as ridiculous as the Libs with their Russia Russia Russia empty diatribe.
LMAO! There is no statement too stupid for a Drug Warrior to say and mean; their "truth" is whatever serves their mania.
Mind-reading (Also, “Speculation;” “I can read you like a book”): An ancient fallacy, a corruption of stasis theory, speculating about someone else’s thoughts, emotions, motivations and “body language” and then claiming to understand these clearly, sometimes more accurately than the person in question knows themselves. The rhetor deploys this phony “knowledge” as a fallacious warrant for or against a given standpoint.
Then elect a Congress that has at least read it.
Only one other document exceeds it in Wisdom and we ignore that one too.
Keep pushing drugs and keep loosing.
The Constitution grants the federal government no authority whatsoever over intrastate drug matters. [...] Article I Section 8 enumerates exactly what issues are within the legislature's authority, and intrastate drug matters are absent from that enumeration.
You act as if any of this mattered.
Amazing how in just a few of your posts the Constitution went from "the core of conservatism" to "as if any of this mattered".
The Constitution will always matter to true conservatives.
Then elect a Congress that has at least read it.
I do what I can - and in the meantime I don't brush off pro-Constitution statements.
TheStickman, you are a good person.
Well it isn't enough and hasn't been for 100 years.
Why are you not complaining about the FED, a truly unconstitutional mess, Why do you think getting everyone stoned will help? Ron had a bunch of crazy potheads follow him around, did he win?
With literally hundreds of true constitutional issues to debate why do Libertarians only talk about drugs?
Legalizing drugs will not fix this and neither will the ballot box.
Because FReepers seem to agree on that point, at least to a much greater degree than they do about the federal War on Drugs?
Why do you think getting everyone stoned will help?
I think ceasing to hyperinflate drug profits and channel them into criminal hands will help.
Legalizing drugs will not fix this
I never said it would.
and neither will the ballot box.
Perhaps not. You have a better plan?
