(Washington, DC) Judicial Watch today announced that the National Security Council (NSC) on May 23, 2017, informed it by letter that the materials regarding the unmasking by Obama National Security Advisor Susan Rice of the identities of any U.S. citizens associated with the Trump presidential campaign or transition team have been removed to the Obama Library.
The NSC will not fulfill an April 4 Judicial Watch request for records regarding information relating to people who were identified pursuant to intelligence collection activities.
The agency also informed Judicial Watch that it would not turn over communications with any Intelligence Community member or agency concerning the alleged Russian involvement in the 2016 presidential election; the hacking of DNC computers; or the suspected communications between Russia and Trump campaign/transition officials. Specifically, the NSC told Judicial Watch: Documents from the Obama administration have been transferred to the Barack Obama Presidential Library. You may send your request to the Obama Library. However, you should be aware that under the Presidential Records Act, Presidential records remain closed to the public for five years after an administration has left office.

What is going on with chaffetz shows how messed up DC is..nobody just decides to quit like that without pressure
that’s some House of Cards type action
I hope so! Thanks for clarifying. Good lord, our government career politicians are a mess.
[nobody just decides to quit like that without pressure]
Would not surprise me after his tirade today, too.
Wouldn’t this information be official records of a particular agency or Department? It is hard to follow the logic that it has taken all this time to come up with this flimsey answer. Obama knew he couldn’t use Executive Privledge because he can never admit being involved and having knowledge of this information. How does Susan Rice take official documents and place them in quaratine in Obamas possesion? Trump better wake up quick. He is letting too much go right past him. Sessions is letting everything go past him.
Unbelievable. The "dark state" suspicions we had aren't even close to the reality. How can any investigation against anyone in the Trump campaign go on without this evidence? My mind is so boggled; I'm wandering....
The Presidential Records Act of 1978

Sessions should be rolling our Grand Juries right and left. But nothing.
Someone tweeted it was an Evan Bayh type exit.
I remember getting private messages on FR about him...and scandal type things..dont remember details
Time for an FBI raid...walking out with boxes, right?
“Sessions is letting everything go past him.”
Sessions has been ‘gotten’ to or he was a complete patsy goober from the get go.
What a fargin disaster.
Something is strange.
This 'libary' thing is just a ruse.. A carrot if you will, to buy CRIMINAL ODUNGA 5 years of more stalling..
Do we STILL not have the official reason the U.S. was in Benghazi yet? WAITING...
The Presidential Records Act (PRA) of 1978 is an Act of Congress of the United States governing the official records of Presidents and Vice Presidents created or received after January 20, 1981, and mandating the preservation of all presidential records. The PRA changed the legal ownership of the official records of the President from private to public, and established a new statutory structure under which Presidents must manage their records.
Specifically, the Presidential Records Act:
Defines and states public ownership of the records.
Places the responsibility for the custody and management of incumbent Presidential records with the President.
Allows the incumbent President to dispose of records that no longer have administrative, historical, informational, or evidentiary value, once he has obtained the views of the Archivist of the United States on the proposed disposal.
Requires that the President and his staff take all practical steps to file personal records separately from Presidential records.
Establishes a process for restriction and public access to these records. Specifically, the PRA allows for public access to Presidential records through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) beginning five years after the end of the Administration, but allows the President to invoke as many as six specific restrictions to public access for up to twelve years. The PRA also establishes procedures for Congress, courts, and subsequent administrations to obtain special access to records that remain closed to the public, following a 30 day notice period to the former and current Presidents.
Requires that Vice-Presidential records are to be treated in the same way as Presidential records.
Executive Order 12667 - Issued by President Reagan in January 1989, this executive order established the procedures for NARA and former and incumbent Presidents to implement the PRA.
Executive Order 13233 - This executive order, issued by President George W. Bush on November 1, 2001, supersedes the previous executive order. The Bush executive order also includes the documents of former Vice Presidents.
Executive Order 13489 - Issued by President Barack Obama on January 21, 2009, restored the implementation of the PRA of 1978 as practiced under President Reagan’s Executive Order 12667 and revoked President Bush’s Executive Order 13233.—Wikipedia
Chaffetz has a point...why in the world does the head of the IRS still have his job?
Why can’t Trump/Sessions bring the hammer down on these agencies to disclose or else?
Why must we find out about this stuff thru Judicial Watch and a few others? Why can’t congress do their damn job?
I am being told I have to vote for Meehan, because his likely Democrat opponent (Leach) will want to impeach Trump...but I have no faith that Meehan wouldn’t do anything to avoid it in fact he is probably working behind the scenes to get rid of Trump.
I realize Trump has his hands full...and is under constant attack...but I would have thought revamping the top of the IRS would be pretty high on the list of goals to be accomplished since they are simply a punitive arm of the democrat party.
Trump has old connection to the irs guy..someone posted it yesterday
If only from the beginning Sessions had stood up and said, we’re not going to talk about Russian connections with Trump’s campaign, we’re going to talk about YOUR connections with the Russians, rather than recusing, we would be better off.
That says the Act provides a way for “subsequent administrations” to get access to the records. Trump could get access to these records, if he has the will to do it.
I have a couple records I’d like Trump to get access to. Could open wide a BUNCH of corruption from the foreign enemy combatant in chief who formerly occupied our White House...
