Republican Karen Handel leads Democrat Jon Ossoff by two points in the final poll of Georgias Sixth Congressional District special election released by the Trafalgar Group late Monday afternoon. Polling places open less than 24 hours from now for the June 20 runoff to replace Rep. Tom Price (R-GA), now the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
The survey of 1,100 respondents has a margin of error of 2.9 percent, and was conducted over two days between June 17th (Saturday) and June 18th (Sunday).
This 6th District survey breaks down the voters preference in the 2017 special election runoff. The Trafalgar Group (TFG), recognized for having the best polling in the 2016 battleground states and Electoral College projection, conducted the poll from June 17th through June 18th, according to the polling firms release:
The voters were asked their preferred candidate in the Congressional District 6 race. The results were:
50.46% Handel 48.59% Ossoff 0.95% Undecided
The Trafalgar Group noted that [t]he results for those who claimed to have already voted early are as follows: 51.32% Ossoff, 48.68% Handel.

Spot on. A trend is a trend, and if it calls for her by +2, trends show its much larger than that.
I think voting should be on election day FULL STOP. I don’t even think there should be absentee voting except for the military and with the military it doesn’t matter much because military votes are contested and thrown out if they would make a difference in the outcome. Along with that votes should be paper ballots deposited in a box. There will still be vote fraud but it is much more labor intensive that way and has to be done polling station by polling station whereas electronic voting machines can be manipulated in groups and remotely or by one techie with access.
And the Dem spin will be that Payton Manning only lost to the Patriots in Foxboro by a FG. A W is a W.
Or that Atlanta won the SB and it was that pesky 2nd half.
remember how just a couple of weeks ago “the polls” had Ossoff ahead by almost hundreds of percents?
This may be another ‘victory’ of the kind democrats have been having. They will win the polls, they will point to narrower margins, and they will go on cable news and crow about how much they won, except for the actual election.
GOP GOTV better not slack there. As long as they don’t slack should be fine... My guess is handle outperforms the polling
Time will tell

>> “Early voters tend to vote Dem...” <<
Fraudulent votes are heavily “absentee” ballots of the voting dead.
The country has about 5 million of them presently, and the courts will not allow purging of them.
.
But then there's early walk-in voting at country election HQ and mail-in early absentee voting (has to be postmarked before voting day). All that effort to keep the voting stations honest, and these two glaring gaps!
I'm glad I had the experience. The poll workers take their jobs very seriously. The training was good. What I found most astonishing is that I did walk-in early voting at county headquarters. It was all very professional, very well done, everything possible happened to make voters feel secure and confident taking public transportation to vote. What was kind of funny was I had to show more ID to get my senior discounted rate to ride the bus than I did to vote!
This was in Cuyahoga County. One can't assume anything in Cuyahoga County is typical.
Early voters tend to vote Dem which makes sense..
Republicans show up to the polls on election day

Where did you find that info? Studies, research, etc or just an opinion? My observations
only , but living in four states over the last 50 years would be just the opposite.
I hope that she wins. She’s not my ideal candidate, but she’s head and shoulders above Ossoff, and her victory would be devastating for the Democrats.
Early voting is the easiest way for them to cheat.
Look on the bright side democrats. You only set $50 million on fire this time.
Think of all the people you could have helped (and that you pretend to care about) with that money
Exactly. They are not voting for Handel. They are voting against Ossoff
There are a limited number of Democrat activists available to drive in the homeless, mentally ill and bribable to the polls. Naturally their day-to-day efforts accumulate more votes in early voting than they can on a single day of work on the day of voting.
Handel wins it by 3-5%
Nothing matters until the dims are done with their recount.
