To hear him tell it, Jon Ossoff — the Democrat vying to fill a House seat here in next Tuesday's special election — isn't even thinking about the seismic implications of what many consider the first major referendum on Donald Trump's presidency.
"I think this race is about who can deliver for this community more than it’s about national politics," Ossoff told NBC News heading into the campaign's final weekend. "There are many in the community who do have serious concerns about the direction the administration is taking us in and I’m one of them and those concerns have only grown over time. But fundamentally what people want from their representative is the kind of results that improve quality of life."

You know how this works. It’s only a referendum against Trump and the winds of change are blowing and impeachment is ahead if the dims win. If they lose, well, it was no big deal.

NBC conveniently forgets at least 3 special election races which have gone to Republicans following Trumps election; but I guess when you have a narrative to push that's more important than some bothersome facts.
If the hot chocolate, pajama boy doesn’t win, the Hollowoodies are going to be pissed. They’ve spent a fortune on that clown.
