President Donald Trump offered the most forthright criticism of Cuba since John F. Kennedy when he addressed a crowd in Miami ahead of signing an executive order reversing the Obama administrations policy of normalization. In a speech frequently interrupted by applause, and by cameo appearances from Cuban-American activists, Trump laid out a moral case against the Castro regime and its policies that few previous presidents have dared to make.
We will not be silent in the face of communist oppression any longer, Trump said. He laid out his principles and policies, including regime change: With Gods help, a free Cuba is what we will soon achieve, he said, to sustained cheers and chants of U-S-A!
He listed some of the human rights abuses of the Castro regime, acknowledging those in the audience who had suffered the true and brutal nature of the Castro regime many of you witnessed terrible crimes committed in service of a depraved ideology. He mentioned activists in Cuba who were prevented from leaving to attend his speech. He saluted exiles and dissidents present, some of whom had suffered decades of imprisonment in Cuba.
Trump declared defiantly in a swipe at his predecessor: Now that I am president, America will expose the crimes of the Castro regime and stand with the Cuban people in their struggle for freedom. Because we know it is best for America to have freedom in our hemisphere, whether in Cuba or Venezuela, and to have a future where the people of each country can live out their own dreams, he said.

It’s easy to lay out a moral case against Cuba, but until now, we haven’t had a President with the guts to do it.
So refreshing!!!
That’s Donald
IMHO......POTUS, Trump needs to bring freedom, liberty, opportunity, equality & justice to both Cuba & Venezuela!!! He does not need to use military force...he can do it economically!!! Russia could care less about Cuba & Venezuela!!!
Trump is 100% on this. Unfortunately for the people of Cuba we need to let the Castros to go the way of Venezuela.
The adults are back in charge.
nicely done.
In Miami today, Pres. Trump gave a great speech before a wildly cheering, mostly Cuban audience. They loved him and everything he had to say regarding the liberation of their homeland from the Castro regime and its communist iron fist.
He personally introduced Cuban expatriates and PATRIOTS who spent years of their lives rotting in Fidel's prisons.
He urged Florida's conservative Governor Scott to run against the socialist incumbent senator Nelson next election.
Things appeared to be patched-up between he and Florida's GOP Sen. Rubio....at the least they were 100% united on working together for a Free Cuba.
The reception for the President was magnifico....Florida, including Little Havana, LOVES THE DONALD!
What I loved best was hearing the Cuban locals in the audience repeatedly and excitedly chanting "USA, USA, USA!"

Now let's hear the MSM-Democrat defenders of Communism give their excuses on television.
Now let's hear the excusers of cop-killer Joanne Chesimard tell their tales on television tonight. And I'm so glad DJT called her by her legal name.
Let's see if they even talk about this speech. I bet they don't. I bet they try to put it in the memory hole.
They are so vulnerable, on so many levels. They're just too stupid and inbred to know it. Morons.
Thanks for the summary.

Back on track. This is what I want to hear and see. That is MAGA. America needs to take care of this very important Hemisphere. Kicking Socialism/Communism and its scum out makes everyone’s life better.
Lots of winning today!
Thanks Leni, for the recap! Sweeet.
The MSM story on this will be Russians! Comey! Obstruction!
I caught his almost entire speech, and the love between Trump and his mostly Cuban audience was palpable and obvious. Few politicians can win over audiences like Trump. I saw that first hand during his rally in Everett, WA. That was 4-5 months before November election, and after witnessing the audience enthusiasm for Trump, it became obvious to me that he would beat Hillary in November.
LOL! I bet that idiot Maduro loved this statement :)
But but but he is not a movement conservative
