Things will never be the same in America from this moment forward. When 66-year-old James Hodgkinson attempted to gun down as many Republican members of Congress as possible at a baseball field in Virginia, he permanently shattered the notion that we could go back to the way that things used to be in this country. At one time, Republicans and Democrats may have strongly disagreed with one another over the issues, but there was always a certain code of civility that everyone understood and respected. But now that is long gone, and if our politicians and the big media outlets continue to fuel the rising hatred in this country, it wont be too long before we are dealing with widespread chaos and civil unrest from coast to coast.
Most of the anger and frustration that we are currently witnessing is being fueled by the left. On his radio show yesterday, Rush Limbaugh accused the left of openly promoting violence
I have been worried for quite a while about the cumulative effect or impact of this constant anti-Trump hysteria everywhere in mainstream media: New York Times, Washington Post, LA Times, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, Limbaugh told listeners.
Its hysteria. Its lies. Its things that are completely manufactured about Trump personally, about Trump and Russia, about climate change, about any number of things.
I have been very concerned about what all of this is doing to the average, base Democrat voter. I have sensed them getting more and more fringe and imbalanced, and the evidence for it is everywhere in the things that they tweet. They openly promote violence, and advocate some of the most despicable things happening to their political enemies.
Someone like James Hodgkinson is not produced in a vacuum. There has been a steady pattern...

...then we can recycle the remains into those cans of Frisky ‘Bits’ cat food. Who can argue with a little recycling?
Wall Street.
Downtown New York.
How many vets are driving around with a rifle in their trunk and how many CCW’s?
And Virginia is almost there.
If you got your leftist Rambos running around Wall Street with rifles, I can have a 101st Airborne vet with a rifle in the trunk. I can also throw in a bunch of people with CCWs who shoot the bad guys.
Plaxico Burress, the NY Giant who caught the winning touchdown vs. the Patriots in the Superbowl and was the biggest hero in New York, did 2 years for possessing a handgun in NYC...
Just how many non-criminals are walking around carrying in that kind of environment?
“Just how many non-criminals are walking around carrying in that kind of environment?”
I’ve got one Airborne vet killing the four Rambo snowflakes you have running around Wall Street with rifles. That’s all I need.
A picture of the leftist Rambo. Cool.
Each to his own...
Please stop putting words in my mouth I didn’t say. I truly don’t need to be schooled about Republican behavior nor that of Radio Hosts Doughty. ....nor what the left is doing thank you....but hey if it feeds some need you have or makes you feel better have at it.
Thank you for your comment.
I have addressed what you stated.
You have openly stated things and implied still further things. I have responded.
You are welcome to agree in part or deny everything. You are also welcome to continue on in this path, trying to foist off a false premise.
If you do, some folks will speak out in disagreement.
Our side, Rush Limbaugh in particular, are simply not comparable to the other side.
We have people on the Left openly advocating assassination of our leaders and Conservatives.
Then you pronounce Limbaugh to be simply another part of the incitement problem.
Nope.
I live on a long street in South East Louisiana, most of my neighbors have been hunting since they were kids. If shooting were to start at the beginning of our street, I don't think a platoon of libs could make it down to where I live. Both of my boys are in the military, I taught both of them to shoot when they were young. I am surrounded by GOD fearing conservative men, that will do anything to protect their families. If the libs start a shooting war, they will be opening the biggest can of whoop a$$ ever in this country.
Back in Lincoln’s time, we didn’t have civil service laws. A very large percentage of government employees are Democrat, would refuse any martial law attempts by Trump, and the judges would back them.
FWIW... I had heard that the two “heroes” had been a ways off chit-chatting by a car or something.
It took them a while — too long — to figure out what was going on. Only heard that once, on the day it happened.

>>The everyone is at fault trope is just you exercising your self-righteousness.
BINGO! When all rational argument fails them, leftists invariably employ this trope as a last defense for their indefensible behavior.
>>If a CWII were to break out in the US, the US will cease to exist. We will literally destroy ourselves. Foreign powers will attempt to move to fill the power vacuum, but will fail, because the US will devolve into an Afghanistan-Africa tribal-feudal region.<<
The final outcome of any large-scale civil conflict will depend almost entirely on how the DOD responds to it. And that will depend on who the CIC is when the sh*t hits the fan.
Sleeping with Maher doesn’t make you straight. It makes you desperate and undiscerning. I don’t know what sleeping with Coulter does to one’s orientation. She’s clearly a woman. A bit masculine but she seems to be quite heterosexual.
Judges have no power to enforce their rulings. The President is Commander-in-Chief and as such commands our military. I.e., there is nothing a judge can do if a President chooses to ignore a court ruling, which conflicts with the President's executive order to suspend habeas corpus. The President is not a lesser branch of government.
Excerpt from thoughtco.com:
"In response to the arrest of Maryland secessionist John Merryman by Union troops, then Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Roger B. Taney defied Lincoln 's order and issued a writ of habeas corpus demanding that the U.S. Military bring Merryman before the Supreme Court. When Lincoln and the military refused to honor the writ, Chief Justice Taney in Ex-parte MERRYMAN declared Lincoln's suspension of habeas corpus unconstitutional. Lincoln and the military ignored Taney's ruling. On Sept. 24, 1862, President Lincoln issued a proclamation suspending the right to writs of habeas corpus nationwide. "Now, therefore, be it ordered, first, that during the existing insurrection and as a necessary measure for suppressing the same, all Rebels and Insurgents, their aiders and abettors within the United States, and all persons discouraging volunteer enlistments, resisting militia drafts, or guilty of any disloyal practice, affording aid and comfort to Rebels against the authority of United States, shall be subject to martial law and liable to trial and punishment by Courts Martial or Military Commission:" Additionally, Lincoln's proclamation specified whose rights of habeas corpus would be suspended: "Second. That the Writ of Habeas Corpus is suspended in respect to all persons arrested, or who are now, or hereafter during the rebellion shall be, imprisoned in any fort, camp, arsenal, military prison, or other place of confinement by any military authority of by the sentence of any Court Martial or Military Commission." In 1866, after the end of the Civil War, the Supreme Court officially restored habeas corpus throughout the nation and declared military trials illegal in areas where civilian courts were again able to function.
On Oct. 17, 2006, President Bush suspended the constitutionally bestowed right of writs of habeas corpus. President Abraham Lincoln did the same thing 144 years ago. Both presidents based their action on the dangers of war, and both presidents faced sharp criticism for carrying out what many believed to be an attack on the Constitution."
