The wife of shooter James T. Hodgkinson told ABC News Nightline that her husband has been in Alexandria (Virginia) for the past two months.
He was living out of his truck/van -- according to his wife.
It appears he may have been lurking in the DC area for the past two months looking for the some event to participate in -- such as the shooting on 14-June-2017.
Maybe authorities in the DC Meto area should investigate out-of-state vehicles that linger in the DC Metro area for some time.
Such investigations might hopefully prevent future problems.
Maybe he was waiting for a day when the security detail wasn’t there. He just ran out of time since the game is tonight.
Why isn’t she his ex-wife?

Good luck with that. DC is packed full with people from other states who flocked there for work. They’d literally have to check out millions of people.
They should haul in the mayor for questioning, who went to the Y and had conversation(s) with him- enough to know they were on the same side politically.
Three guesses who he went there to get close to to try and kill. It certainly wasn’t a group of congressmen.
