Rep. Steve King (R-IA) blasted the angry left on Wednesday at the scene of a shooting earlier in the day that wounded House Majority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA), an aide, and two Capitol Police. “America has been divided,” King said, according to the Washington Post. “And the center of America is disappearing, and the violence is appearing in the streets, and it’s coming from the left.”
Asked whether the shooting was politically motivated, he said he did not know why the gunman did what he did.
However, King pointed at anger and demonstrations against Trump, according to the Post:
King, in his remarks at the shooting scene, said it was impossible to separate the hyperpartisan climate in Washington — especially people protesting Trump — with Republican members of Congress being fired upon at a baseball practice.
“The divisions within the country, people that can’t accept the results of the election that are determined to try to take this country down, take this organization down,” he said. “This city was filled up with demonstrations the day after the inauguration, where you couldn’t drive down the streets. And we’ve had demonstrations every week since then, sometimes different topics.”
King added: “We do need to focus on what’s happening to the culture in this country.”
The shooter has been identified as James T. Hodgkinson III, 66, of Belleville, Ill. by law enforcement officials.

I got into a debate with someone on Facebook (I know -what was I thinking) who said “what about all the murders by the right wing conservatives?” I said name one and so they came back first the Gabby Gifford (I shot that one down) and then some guy in Quebec who evidently shot up a mosque and Dylann Root. Oh, and they claimed that the Oregon guy was right wing.
Duh!
Nancy Pelosi has the temerity to say she prays for President Trump’s success when last week she fairly spat that she couldn’t say his name. She’s a hypocrite.

For the first time in American history, we have not had a peaceful transfer of power at the Presidential level. The violence that happened today on a Virginia ball field has been building for more than a year. It got a good start in San Jose, CA last year when the police and city refused to protect Trump supporters coming out of a campaign rally. They were beaten, chased, spit upon, bullied and their cars damaged while the cops stood by doing nothing. Who can forget seeing that poor woman surrounded by a howling mob spitting on her, throwing things at her, all the while men inside the glass doors would not open them for her until her life was in danger. The San Jose Police did NOTHING. Then in Chicago, Trump had to cancel a rally because the city would not protect his supporters or the arena and in fact let the thug radicals into the arena after the event was cancelled causing fights all over the interior. Twice during the campaign, Trump speeches were interrupted by a man rushing the stage in Ohio and a gun incident at another event. In Berkley, Portland and Seattle, Democrat storm troopers have fought in the streets with Trump supporters, damaged property, screamed vulgar slogans and done so without police intervention until recently Since the election, Kathy Griffin showed up holding the severed head of Donald Trump as a “joke.” A female United States Senator addressed the California Democratic state convention and used the F word over and over when talking about President Trump. In Central Park, a NY theater company puts on a play on this very day showing the assassination of President Trump and gets a standing ovation from the audience. And every day the media pours gas on the leftist fire. In Congress, Senator after Senator and Rep after Rep accuse the President of every crime they can think of, stirring the pot every single day. These examples only skim the surface, there are so many more. So now one of their crazies has taken the bait and tried to commit mass murder on Republicans. There is blood on the hands of those who have continued to ratchet up the pressure every day and they are to blame for this happening. Not the slightest doubt in my mind.
The left is losing the ability to critically think, while they have always lacked an ability to self analyze. A lack of morals in that climate will cause them to self destruct. Eventually they will be classified as terrorists, which is what they always were anyways.

Without virtue, there can be no freedom at all—no civil society. Virtue is non-existent in communists and socialists (group-(non)-thinkers). We used to “know” that truth, before truth was unconstitutionally banned in schools by the 60s and the public square.
It is time we brought back a true “Justice” system since all the Founders knew that “Just Law” only promotes public virtue (and that is ONLY Christian Virtues).

I do not condone this act of aggression in any way whatsoever, and I hope that I do not appear crass for changing the basic thread topic, but the first thought that entered my mind when I became aware of the shooting was:
What in the hell are these Congressmen doing on a baseball field at 10:00 a.m. on a weekday-workday while most normal males are at work earning a living and paying Federal Income Taxes? Is there no congressional business to be conducted? How about healthcare reform? How about the budget deficit? How about tax reform? The hottest item for congressmen is to practice (during normal working hours for we commoners) for a challenge baseball game? This is supposed to be some type of charity exhibition game? I have a suggestion: practice on your own time after normal work hours. Then you can honestly call it a charitable effort on your behalf.
It is coming entirely from the left. And has been getting worse since Obama put the torch to Ferguson.
Also this: Ramadan is now in its third week as the hours of daylight increase. The Muzzies are getting extra cranky.
