Not long after Secretary of Energy Rick Perry announced a 60-day review of green energy policies impact on electric grid reliability, the wind industrys lobbying arm devised a strategy to push back against the study, according to a leaked memo.
Perrys April announcement worried the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) and others that the requested study could be used to bash subsidies and policies that allowed wind energy production to rapidly grow in recent years.
AWEA laid out a plan to engage with federal lawmakers, regulators and the media to push back against a study they saw as supporting baseload sources such as coal and nuclear, according to a leaked memo obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation.
AWEAs message to Congress and the Trump administration referenced jobs the wind sector provides.
Wind energy is helping diversify our energy mix and makes the power grid more reliable and secure, as well as bringing good jobs and billions of dollars of investments to rural and Rust Belt America, the memo reads.

At this weather site, they have a great vid of a giant burning wind turbine. It’s ib the Trending Now sectio on the right side;

Socialism = crony capitalism
OMG if you do a study about Green Energy the only Green will be the money wasted
Wind farms in California have already been shut down by environmentalists who sued them over the destruction of endangered bird species. These lawsuits will continue until the wind farm industry is sued out of existence.
This is just re-arranging deck chairs on the Titanic.
Burning windmill taken down. No surprise there, eh?
Astronauts though, claim they can “see” the effects of global warming from space!
Is that the one burning away in west Texas the other day? Drive past the eye sore near Palmdale and see how many are idle.
Yeah, just ask margabby kellygiffords. He’s a brilliant retired ASS-tro-naught. Hear he’s moved on to puppetry.
Ping.
I still see it in the boz on the upper right in Trending Now
Wind turbines are monstrous. If they ever are abandoned it will be an ugly ugly blight on rural America. But the money people won’t care. Someone told me that you just have to put in the contract that they must be cleaned up if the company stops usage. But good luck getting blood out of a turnip.
The hell it does.
LOL! Even now they are a blight and ruin my “view shed” when I stumble past. They don’t have to be abandoned to be ugly.
Prof. Fritz Vahrenholt, founder of the German green movement and a pioneer of the renewable energy business,wrote the following “A Disaster in the Making.”
Don’t prejudge, read it, it’s on the ground info from a Greenie trying his best to paint the problem with frosting. Yet he knows the German gov’t has screwed up. It’s in English.

The “hole” German green push goes back to pre WW II. Now they’ve shut down or are in the process of shutting down any and all nukes in Germany. Guess them electricity are gonna be going up soon.
“Someone told me that you just have to put in the contract that they must be cleaned up if the company stops usage. But good luck getting blood out of a turnip.”
Amazing. A greenie admits the existence of real physics.
Excellent analysis of the factors involved in the production and use of electric power. I understand that the Germans are already paying about 3x what we are for electricity.
