Jennifer Lawrence survived a scary situation on Saturday that put her life at risk when the private jet she was on was forced to make an emergency landing due to engine failure.

The 26-year-old Oscar-winning actress was travelling on a flight that had taken off from her hometown of Louisville, Kentucky when one of the engines shut down at 31,000 feet.

The pilot seemed to have things under control as he headed the plane to an emergency landing in Buffalo, New York. But then, in a harrowing event that echoed the real life story told in the recent Warner Bros. movie Sully, the second engine shut down.

Excellent piloting.

Jennifer appears to be somewhat of a hypocrite flying around in her private jet:

“the rebellion that I’d like to wake up would be a for the environment: raise awareness among young people that we have only one planet that climate change is real and not a myth, and that if we do nothing we will destroy the planet - Jennifer Lawrence

One of those jets uses more fuel on a flight than a year of driving does for most of us—yes, I know that we’re talking jet fuel versus gasoline.

I’d like to “raise awareness” in these celebs to STFU.

Not to worry. It's the cause that motivates them. After all, Mount St Helens creates more cO2 than the entire United States, but that's of no concern to the enviroweenies. They're in it for the cause.

Guessing the issue was not engine failure since both engines went at the same time. That sounds like either a fuel issue (ran out) or a serious system failure.

She’s a helluva actress though...the 2nd coming of Meryl Streep IMO. Glad she’s OK.

There are no swarthy young men (or robust Lesbians) lined up around the BLOCK to tandem-bike or Rickshaw this EnviroWeenie wherever she needs to go?

Glad she’s OK. If not, we’d be having another ‘Wellstone Memorial’ in Hollyweird telling us all the ‘good’ she ‘did’ for ‘the planet.’

I still don’t get how climate change can destroy the planet. Do liberals think it will get so hot the earth will catch fire and melt, or explode, or vaporize?

“One of those jets uses more fuel on a flight than a year of driving does for most of us—yes, I know that we’re talking jet fuel versus gasoline.”

So what’s the difference? Jet A is basically good kerosene, which is cheaper to produce that gasoline. We just took a trip using one of our “family’s” Cessna Citation X jets, and while it may use a bunch of fuel, it sure it a nice way to travel. Go when you want, and no bother with TSA.

Everyone else should sacrifice, but she and her Hollyweird pals will go on living the high life as entitled Leftards.

Such hypocrites!!

Here's something I really didn't know about until now: How to fly on a private jet for under $150 per person

.....Go when you want, and no bother with TSA......

Amen to that and no intention to criticize private ownership and use of any type of airplane. A lady from my HS class owned (maybe still owns) a Piagio turboprop.

But do we believe both engines failed in flight, considering Hollywood stories are often hyped up.
