Selma Hyak has never been flat in any parts she has played just saying
That's a great Jennifer Lawrence plot twist. I think I can say that -- without having seen a single movie she's been in, having only read about some of those movies -- the type of movie & plot, and the type of roles she'd had.
From the more actual story-line of the article; Despite being forced to fly without any engines, the pilot managed to safely land in Buffalo.
I'm impressed.
Now if he'd landed on buffalo, and as it turned out in ending result the aircraft was able to skid safely to a stop (you can't roller-skate in a buffalo herd, you know? but buffalo can ---they slip-slide & skid around when their chips are down, and their chips are down all the time) then I'd pay good money to see an old-fashioned, wide-screen Technicolor film of that, though I do admit I'd try to catch it at the lower-priced, 'matinee' hours. <[8^')
“Jennifer appears to be somewhat of a hypocrite flying around in her private jet:”
That is such BS. For at least several miles during that trip she did not burn ANY FUEL - no global warming at all. Not even my car is that green.
Could be ice contamination in the fuel which can clog up the filters - could also be someone didn’t turn the engine anti ice on in time
I see they have a good weight to power ratio, but they sure chew up a lot of runway on takeoff.
I’d be interested in your takes on this article: https://www.quora.com/What-caused-Lynyrd-Skynyrds-plane-to-crash
Thanks!
Easy...ran out of fuel... turbines don’t run on air..fyi 25 yrs overhauling and testing of nearly all fuel controls and components for the big D.
Post of the day. High school dropout ingenue with SO MANY PRETENTIONS headed for oblivion.
The article made it sound like there was more to the story. That there was some unexplained extra time in the air.
I’m jealous!. Not that you have access to a jet (well, maybe just a little,) but that you don’t have to put up with the “TSA.” Their should be a law that everyone gets the “TSA” treatment. Wink, Wink, with a BIG smile.
Actually it says very little. Sounds like a fuel issue of some sort, either short, or contamination somehow...not a whole lot of details.. However there isnt much to it...think of it like a diesel. It only needs high pressure fuel to run, no spark, etc...everything is designed to run if one thing breaks, each engine can run independent of the other. So that points to fuel system.
Ive been flying small aircraft for forty years with tens of thousands of flight hours. I train about two hundred pilots a year, many with experience similar to mine...
I regret bringing it up.
Happy Landings to all!
