Secret Service Has No Audio or Transcripts of Any Tapes Made in Trump White House
Agency’s response to FOIA request doesn’t exclude possibility of recordings created by other entity

WASHINGTON—The U.S. Secret Service has no audio copies or transcripts of any tapes recorded within President Donald Trump’s White House, the agency said on Monday.
The agency’s response to a freedom of information request submitted by The Wall Street Journal doesn’t exclude the possibility that recordings could have been created by another entity.
The Secret Service handled recording systems within the White House for past presidents, including Richard Nixon and John F. Kennedy.

They should be asking Comey for the tapes. He created him and they were confiscated upon firing.
Who has said that the SS needs to be in possession of said tapes?

I’m thinking that’s what Trump meant by his cryptic remarks about “tapes”: he isn’t taping anyone, but he assumes the NSA is surveilling him since all of his WH conversations tend to appear in the Washington Post.
I’m pretty sure the Secret Service isn’t tasked with recording Trump and maintaining those recordings

The point of the article is that the Secret Service was in charge of them during the Nixon Admin.
Let’s say for the discussion purposes that Trump decided to use his own recorder. Knowing what a snake Comey is he would have been right to do so.

The next stories and push by the #FAKENEWS media will be something similar to Nixon erasing tapes, and Trump disposing of tapes. They will claim identical situation and impeachment scandal!
almost everyone has hand held devices and I would not be surprised if trump who is constantly tweeting had an ap on his phone that allowed him to record the conversation...if I was speaking alone with someone I felt was trying to entrap me in a crime I would start to record the conversation. never think you can get away with lieing about a conversation. it is to easy to record and have a record.

No one says they are going to digitally record tonight's ball game...or the radio broadcast of "Aida" on the BBC. They say they'll "tape" it. It's just easier and everyone knows what the meaning is.
