A former Groesbeck Independent School District sixth grade teacher reportedly had methamphetamine in her possession when Temple officers arrested her.
Stephanie Alfano, 49, of Marlin, resigned from the district after her arrest, according to Groesbeck ISD. Friday would have been her final day as a teacher with the district, Stephanie Ingram, Groesbeck ISDs business office manager, said.

This is just up the road a ways from where I live. Groesbeck is a very small rural community east of Temple. Another rural meth story in a place you would never suspect.
Looks like school’s out forever.

I cannot begin to understand why a 49 year old woman would want to try meth. I just cannot understand.

She would be a very attractive woman for her age if she didn’t go about destroying her life.
Sad someone would make such decisions. She must have had some rather serious mental issues to ever try meth.
My guess is if I got caught with Meth, it would be my last day of work as well. And my last day in the house. And my last day married.
Sadly, “should” may be more likely these days. You know, “I’m a victim and I need help with my substance abuse.” Blah, blah, blah.
