If you've ever heard the term "self-hating Jew," but didn't know what it meant, look no further than Vermont Senator Berni Sanders.
Sanders, in a video message to the hard-left Israeli Meretz party to mark the end of the Six Day War in 1967 and “50 years of Occupation,” said, “The occupation must end.”
Sanders commenced his loathing of the Jewish state by referring to Meretz, which only has five seats in Israel’s 120-seat Knesset, as “Israel’s most prominent political organization.” Gushing that Meretz stands “for many of the same values that progressives are fighting for here in the United States and throughout the world,” Sanders continued with a vicious attack on Israel, stating, “We are now in the 50th year of Israel’s occupation, an occupation which denies basic Palestinian rights while failing to deliver Israel real security … I know so many of you agree with me when I say: this occupation must end. Peace, real peace, means security not only for every Israeli, but for every Palestinian. It means supporting self-determination, civil rights and economic well-being for both peoples.”
Resorting to leftist platitudes, Sanders huffed that what was needed was “a politics of solidarity and a common humanity … brave people uniting around a common set of values with clear goals, can change a country, they can change the world, they can even change the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.”
Sanders’ hatred of Israel has been well-documented; he told The New York Daily News the massive lie that Israel had killed 10,000 people in the 2014 Gaza war, later admitting he did not know the exact number.
As Michael Laitman wrote last June in The Jerusalem Post:
We did not need Bernie Sanders’ pick of BDS backer and Israel basher, Cornel West, to partake in writing the Democratic platform, to know how he feels about Israel. Back in May of 1985, when Sanders was still mayor of Burlington, VT, he invited fellow (Jewish) Israel critic, Noam Chomsky, to give a town hall speech. Sanders did not protest when Chomsky nonchalantly stated that Israel “doesn’t want a political settlement” in the Middle-East, or when he asserted that Israel served as a “surrogate” murderer for the US and carried out mass killings “in Africa, Asia, and primarily Latin America,” where, according to Chomsky, Israel massacred “thousands, if not tens of thousands of people” in Nicaragua.
As far as Sanders accepting the myth of the “occupation,” Elliott Hamilton of The Daily Wire eviscerated that myth here.
Lastly, Sanders’ essentially communist perspective has nothing at all to do with values promulgated in the Torah, which is definitely geared against the common ownership of the means of production.
It’s bad enough for Sanders to be ignorant of Jewish values, but for him to blithely attack Israel and champion the very people bent on destroying it is repulsive.

The useful idiot, of which Bernie is a good example, probably mean well, but are really out of their depth on this issue, if they don’t support Israel.
Israel does not attack the West Bank or Gaza, unless there has been some sort of breach of Israel’s security.
That cannot be said of the Arabs on the West Bank or in the Gaza Strip. They will attack Israel and exact as much loss of life as they can, willfully and habitually.
Israel keeps a presence on the West Bank. It does so, so it can reasonably keep things under control. Frankly, it would be crazy if it didn’t.
Bernie pops up about it being so unfair, but doesn’t bother to figure out why it is very fair. Israel allows Arabs to work inside it’s borders. It provides power to certain parts of the Arab territory, and I believe water too. It may also provide food. Israel is not an oppressor of these people.
People who work inside Israel have a higher standard of living than they would if they didn’t. Therefore it cannot be said that Israel is trying to make life worse for the Arabs on the West Bank.
Israel is not continually spouting that it is going to drive every Arab off the West Bank. In return the Arabs do declare they are going to drive every Jew into the Mediterranean, thereby killing them.
Bernie is just plain clueless, and most of the Left is on these matters.
They claim to support people of other nations, and ethnicities, and yet they trash Israel constantly and make no demands from the Arabs at all. NONE!
Look at the free pass for Islamic Arabs, even refusing to stop them from coming here despite the extreme negative impacts on our nation.
Sanders saying, “The occupation must end,” reminds me very much of Arabs saying, “Drive the Jews into the sea.”
as for Bernie himself, he is a hopeless case of JINO and Jewish Self-hatred, and being a commie he has bought into the Islamonazi lies about the ‘palestinians’ and the ‘occupation’........ ...lies that originated in a scheme hatched by the former Soviet Union’s secret services....maybe Bernie picked up the lies when he went to the Soviet Union for his honeymoon? Probably later, tho, since I don’t recall that the KGB had begun to really propagate those lies then?
either way, wouldn’t it be so wonderful if President Putin would expose the lies for what they are, manufactured by an over-zealous bunch of KGB trouble-makers as just one more way of attacking, indirectly, America (at the time)? Maybe someone with access could ask him to do this ... it could help SOOO much....

Kudos to Mark Levin, who played the Sanders speech on his national radio show tonight and ripped into him, appropriately calling Sanders a communist.
How did Bernie get so old? He has taken in no new knowledge in 50 years, and his ignorance of the world situation is remarkable for someone past third grade. Truly remarkable.
Bernie is anything but a “Jew”. He is “jew-ish” and that’s about it. He doesn’t keep shabot, or kosher. What he is- is a greasy user of the liberal jewish left culture and memes. And that is all. What he also is, is a corrupt opportunist, who will take money from anyone, rather than do real work. There was a summit between the delegation from Israel and the delegation from the Palestinians. The first to speak was the Israeli minister. He began by telling a story. “Once upon a time, long ago, as Moses was leading the Israelites across the desert, he grew so hot and dusty he wanted to swim in the sea. He removed his clothing and hung it from a tree branch, dove into the cool water and refreshed himself. When he emerged, his clothes were no longer hanging from the tree.
“’ What happened to my clothes?” Moses asked.
“’Oh, Moses!” cried one of his men. “The Palestinians came and took your clothes!’” At this point the leader of the Palestinian delegation objected.
“This is nonsense! There were no Palestinians here at that time!”
“Thank you, sir,” said the Israeli. “With that point cleared up, let us begin negotiations.”
This is a SICK old G-dless Commie b_____d. He lacks even a rudimentary sense of right vs. wrong. He is a hypocrite, because with one side of his maggot-filled mouth, he advocates that everyone must be the same, must have the same things, must think the same, etc. while with the other side of his maggot-filled mouth, he has risen from an unemployed mediocre carpenter to a man owning several luxury homes. Wow, talk about practicing what you preach-—for others-—NOT! The most just thing that could happen to him would be for the Muzzlimes to kill him slowly and painfully-—for being a Jew. Does he think that his turning his back on his heritage and advocating for the enemies of Jews would have saved him during the Holocaust? No way. He would have been a heap of ashes, protesting “Hey, I’m with YOU guys!” to the Germans, all the way to the showers.
