"The Act, championed by Ms May, requires internet service providers to maintain a list of visited websites for all internet users for a year and gives intelligence agencies more powers to intercept online communications. Police can access the stored browsing history without any warrant or court order."
While I agree, it sure is annoying that the only time these types of concerns are addressed, is when we have someone who wouldn’t want to abuse them.
When Obama was abusing the IRS, and all sorts of eavesdropping rules... crickets!
These damn bastards in Congress are only addressing these things because Trump is in office. If Hillary were there, no concerns would be expressed at all.
The FISA court was certainly abused under Obama.
We shouldn’t even start the discussion until we know who was spied on and what was passed around Obama’s cronies by “unmasking.”
There must be a penalty for abuse or else they are just urinating into the wind. Example: Comey obtained a FISA warrant based upon the “Urinating Prostitutes” file which he knew was not verified (and probably BS) but he lied about the veracity and value of the file. Just like a prosecutor that hides witnesses and evidence from the defense, he has committed a crime and should be criminally liable.
The key to fighting this FISA tyranny is punishing Obama’s people, whichisnotgoingtohappen.
The Patriot Act should be repealed. it is a massive violation of civil liberties and the Fourth Amendment.
