The first reports of an incident in London emerged Saturday evening.
Within hours, cable news channels were saturated with the all-too-familiar loop of panicked faces, desperate crowds scurrying for safety and scowling, heavily armed police. On Sunday morning, the New York Times said the latest terrorist attack in London had targeted a nation still reeling from a suicide bombing in Manchester last month.
On Sunday, some Londoners started pushing back against the notion that their city if not their country was trembling in fear. They had a simple message: London is not reeling.
This twisted attempt to downplay the reality of radical Islam is surpassed in delusion by the supportive comments.
Half my family lived and died through the bombing of London. When that was going on the government wasn’t coddling nazi’s..
There were clearly defined lines..
In Norway some crazy guy shot and killed all the Pro-Migrant politicians children. How many terror attacks in Norway?
The Brits did much more than “weather” Nazi bombs. They killed as many Nazis as they could, without worrying that their actions would be called “Germanophobic.”
Of course, fear might inspire the locals to do something to stop this terrorist crazinessand the left cant have that. It would be so politically incorrect. Its much better from their perspective just to get the local populace used to Islamic terrorist attacks as part of daily life to be shrugged off.
There needs to be room for Sig Saur in there somewhere.
I stopped reading right there.
I’m wondering if John Bull will ever wake up. He’s another sleeping giant, even as weak as Britain has become.
Right? The WaPo article makes it seem as if the Brits just “weathered” the Nazis and see everything turned out okay!
When in fact they fought them tooth and nail and bomb the s**t out of them. The Brits certainly didn’t sit back and allow the Nazi to take hold and ruin their country from the inside.
Teddy bears .... where the hell are the teddy bears. How can you expect a city to heal without $15.00 teddy bears?
And, with a lot of help from their friends, they DEFEATED the Nazi enemy. Of course, the Compost can't mention DEFEATING the Islamic enemy. No, we must learn to "weather" ongoing Islamic terrorism forever. It's for our own good!
Thanks. I have added this to one of my UK whining montages.
